------I think a big part of it is that when she's in the booth she probably thinks she needs to fill all the dead air, although not quite as chatty as Karen. On the course she provides some good insights in small bites. 

 

 

I'm pretty sure he was referring to Morgan's nasally voice...not her chattiness.  It could be worse....they could try and lure Erin Andrews away from FOX.

I don't get all the talk of Salas being "born for this moment" type comments all day. Sure she was the best US player this time round but historically she is a 50% points Solheim player and in a near 10yr LPGA career has one win 7yrs ago, 6 seconds, lost the 2 playoffs she was in and has been ranked inside the world top 20 once at 19. Not the career of a closer.

At some level, match play formats are a different game than the typical stroke play tournament, and it shouldn't really be a surprise that a team of the "best" stroke players doesn't win.

Yea I dont understand either. So she’s straight and consistent. Also the shortest, slowest player in the field.

From the available pool, given current ranking process, I suspect they did.  Would be interesting to add the top ranked amateur, given they play more match play.

Noticed that the chant of 'MVP' was given to Leona when the cup was being passed around the Euros...seemed to be very much caddy-led with plenty of male voices, so she's popular amongst the loopers. Interesting that she gave some nice credit to her caddy - Dermot Byrne - in her on course post-match interview.

 

She must be on cloud 9, Leona 'on fire' Maguire. 4.5 points as a rookie.

 

She faced the US No.1 in 2 of her matches, played the top US team in yesterday's 4balls and crushed their top performer in todays singles. 

 

Now needs to win some LPGA events.

 

This comment was made on twitter: "Split Leona Maguire in two! Oh wait, they already did that"

The Europeans had one player in the Rolex Rankings top 28 with Nordqvist at 16. The Americans had eight players.

Yes, but as a Latina she has had to overcome hardship and being told "Mexicans can't golf".   That's what makes her such an inspiration!!  She's a trail-blazer!!!   (if you disregard Chi Chi Rodriguez, Lee Trevino, Nancy Lopez, and an actual Mexican, Lorena Ochoa).

Just something I noticed:  Did they televise any of Noh’s shots at all today?  I watched on delay with some skipping, so maybe it was me. But only remember them showing her putt on 18.

She was up big most of the day. They showed her shots when the match got close.

I guess it's ratings based but how much Lexi do they really need to show, especially endless minutes of her lining up putts, that's sort of in the main pointless.

I don’t think that’s the reason. They show the matches that are closer more than those with big leads.

In match play they seem to always show the 1st match the most. Maybe it’s just me

 Listening to Pat Hurst. Didn't meet with the team after the morning of the 1st day. Didn't deviate from her "plan". Made no adjustments. Kept her personality pod combinations in place. Give her a "C" for this project management role of Captain. Stubborn may be too strong of a word. Perhaps arrogant fits. Out of touch, also.

If I never have to see Danielle Kang play golf again it will still be too much, but a little perspective, please.  This is a golf exhibition.  She did not impact your life, nor is the US going to change one iota due to her behavior.  The players are likely all going to party together later tonight.  It happens after the Ryder Cup as well.
