Nice one man.. Never a bad feeling to watch the ball go in the hole from forever away regardless of the size of golf course

I had this bad boy today on a 170 yarder. The hole right before a par 4 that I was a foot away from acing last week.. Still waiting on my first one

Of course, some hardcore golfers won’t recognize my feats since most were Par 3 courses.

I'd say still a hole-in-one, even on a par-3 course. The biggest advantage playing a par-3 course gives you is that you have a chance for a hole-in-one on each hole, but you've still got to hit the ball in the hole.

Scored an ace today, 120 yards on an executive 9 hole course ending a 10 year drought, lol!

I now have aces in 4 states, cool!

8 aces on WV 18 hole Par 3 course where I grew up.  4 aces on California 18 hole Par 3 course.  One ace on Florida regulation 18 hole course.  One ace on Colorado 9 hole executive course.

Of course, some hardcore golfers won’t recognize my feats since most were Par 3 courses.

Congrats! What par 3 course in WV?

Congrats!  Still waiting for my first.  I've dunked dozens of shots, have back to back eagles, and a double eagle, but still not that magic ace.

According to the U.S. Golf register, as long as you’ve met their criteria, you’ve scored an ACE, even on an executive par 3. Here’s their criteria:

Golfers can report an ace to the United States Golf Register, whose mission is to record every hole-in-one in golf. Golfers must be playing on a course with at least nine holes. They can only be playing with one ball, and not in a practice round.

They must have a witness or be deemed acceptable by the Golf Register Committee, and must hit from a temporary tee to a hole on a putting green. When reporting the ace, the golfer must also include the location of the course and the length of the hole.

I have few hundred aces on many of the miniature golf courses I played when I was a kid.  Only two on Par 72 hole courses, though.

Got my first hole in one today on the 17th hole at Cog Hill #1.  It was playing 172 yards and used my Ping G400 nine wood.  I knew right away it was a great shot.  Two of us saw it land and disappear into the hole. Wasn’t sure until one of my playing partners who was ahead of us pulled it out of the hole.  The ball mark was straight on 5 feet in front of the hole.

Cog Hill gave me a real nice flag and said to have my playing partners sign it with a Sharpie.  Pretty cool!

Congrats on the 14th !

I’m also on 14. Like you many of those on Par 3 courses (I’m an ex Club Pro - and much of my short game practice was done on local Par 3 courses back in the day). ***So 12 of those on par Par 3 courses and 2 on main courses.

I was ‘stuck’ on 13 for last 6 or 7 years I guess (?). Managed to break that by getting my 14th this past Sunday; playing with my Son. Which was also unbelievably on my 50th Birthday 🥳

Congrats !  Never seen one. Never had one.  Left around 10 inside a foot.  But I do have 1 albatross.  Which ironically enough I couldn’t see go in because of the sun.  Players on the tee that adjoins the green I hit  into  saw it go in and lost their minds.

I got my first in 1984 and I now have 10. They have all come on regulation 18 hole courses Six of them have come over the last  few years with two each in 2018, 2019 and 2020 on a course that has six par 3s, six par 4s and six par 5s. I think HIOs areas much about luck as they are skill.
