Rounded shoulders/Elbow getting behind me

I have been working with a great coach, but struggling with finding a feel that works to help inward rounding of the trail shoulder. 
 

I can make great half swings, but as soon as I make a deeper backswing my trail shoulder stays way too internal and my elbow pushes behind me with the club going across the line.

 

i end up with choice but to yank the handle down and dump under.

 

my mobility is about average but I’m working on it. Question is, what types of feels might have worked for others to allow that should to fully open and allow the elbow to not push behind

This is a fairly common problem. I feel in my own swing that the feet must resist(more right than left) and the left hand(and shoulder) pushes away from the body at some point in the backswing so that there is "room" for my right arm to swing under my left easily.

 

I also find that I can never pull the right hand or the right shoulder back or the right elbow is "stranded" behind me. This seems to be pretty common, you could look at videos of your swing from the side and see where the right elbow is at and if the right hand is coming off the grip.

Hey Mr. Monte, 

Just revisited this topic. Great info and much needed to jog my memory. Need to work on practicing and then using 2 more clubs on the course. 
Just a comment, have used more club and swinging shorter and damn, my shot goes even farther than a full swing with that club! It’s amazing what happens when you hit the sweet spot and you get your body sequencing on. 
Well, off to the range.
