Any News on a Timeline for Sedge Valley and/or Lido ?

There was a lot of hype about the Lido course at Sand Valley earlier this year but not much news of late. Has anyone heard about progress with it and its apparently less urgent sibling the Sedge Valley course.

I just wrote about Sedge in another post and I how disappointed I was it was put on hold as that land back there is amazing. I have a home on lake arrowhead and have hiked, shed hunted, and looked for morels in that area for a number of years. I know they have four or five holes cleared and partially shaped but zero activity since pre-covid. That area back there is wild, there are some huge rock outcroppings and open faced rock walls, and ravines that look to be incorporated into the plan, it is going to give a completely different look and feel to the other courses.

Lido: Target timeline is soft opening next fall, full opening 2023 season. They spent this summer doing routing/clearing trees/moving sand and starting on the green complexes. 

 

Sedge Valley: Indefinite hold

My understanding is that Lido will be largely private with very very limited public play.  Downstroke is 50K with a modest annual after that.  I am also led to believe that if you pony up there will be zero guest fees.  If any of you are writing the check and you need a guest you can reach out to me.

They've been vague but they have said the course will be available to resort guests...which is like 90+% of the people who play SV...so I'm not really sure what the plan is

Being part of the 10% not staying on the property due to my home being 5 minutes away I can say this is a blessing and a curse. I love having the course so close but I feel I will never get to play the lido due to it being open only to resort guests. I love having SV in my backyard and feel like I hit the golf lottery knowing what it used to be there to see what it is today but when it was first announced SV really gave the vibe that they were going to take care of local residents with reduced rates and cater to Adams county residents. With the demand that has been thrown out the window, I have two groups up each year and play both courses and the sand box during those trips. Last year was not a problem getting tee times but I called at the beginning of this year to set dates and times and they said 30 days out is the max, explained that I was a local and made zero difference. They also only offer the reduce rate to locals the last weekend they are open in October now.

I'm heading out on a Lido tour at the beginning of October. I'll report back with what intel I can squeeze out of them.

Lido will be open for preview play next year. Official I believe is still 2023. Sedge Valley I don't believe has any activity yet.

Doesn’t Prairie Bluff have a hole like this?  Seem to remember one...(played it once, many years ago)
