What driver shaft are you playing?

Evenflow Riptide 70 6.0 in my 300 Mini Driver. Has the "smooth" profile that I like but is a bit more stable than the Diamana S+ and Fubuki that I was using in my previous two drivers. I wouldn't mind trying a Tensei CK Pro Blue in it but am happy with the combo now.

Ventus Red 6x and a 7x just arrived.  Not sure how Fuji did it with the velocore, but this is supposed to be a high launching shaft that should go left based on the profile and just doesn’t. Very similar to the ventus black I had in the sim last year.

TSI 3 W/ GD M9003 7X which beat out my ventus black . Just stunning that this shaft doesn’t get more love .

I’m playing the 6x tipped 1” at 115-118. I have a pretty short, compact swing but load it pretty aggressively. I have a 7x I play tipped 1” as well.

The Red isn’t all that different in profile from the Black. Having both, the Red just feels a bit more active in the mid section, the butts are almost identical feel wise and the tip is a touch softer. 
 

The Red isn’t necessarily high launching, just higher launching compared to the Black and Blue. The Red, for me, is a lot more similar to other companies “Blue” profiles.

Lucked into a cheap Graphite Design GP 6 TX a few months ago.  I played the normal X in my 2016 M1 for a few months but found the shaft to be just a little too loose. The TX firms it up nicely without making it overly stiff/unplayable. I get a nice flat piercing trajectory and increased my roll.

 

Previously I was using PX Evenflow 65/75/85 in different lengths and never could get what I wanted. The 65 went too high. the 75 felt oddly stout. The 85 was too heavy but i found success in a 3wood length shaft in my driver. Lowered flight but spin was still an issue.  the 75g EF Black is SOLIDLY in my 3wood as a gamer until it snaps. This is the best 3 wood combo I have hit since the Cleveland Launcher / Fuji Pro 95 of my college days.

HZRDUS Smoke Green 60 6.5TX.  I like a stable shaft that does not feel "lively", but also not too boardy.  This fits the bill.  HZRDUS Black feels like a similar shaft to me though, which I have played in my mini-driver.  Tensei AV White was another decent shaft for me but ultimately not quite as stable.  The Ventus Blue 7x Velocore by comparison is way too whippy for what I like.

Ventus Black 6X in everything.  TSi3, SIM2, SIM2 MAX, Callaway Mavrik. I own and test everything and this is the most consistent shaft on the market in my opinion.

Currently a Ping OEM TFC-419 shaft in my Ping G30 driver.

 

However, since changing my swing and gaining swing speed I haven't been the most consistent with this combo. Very high ball flight and a mean slice shows up more often then I would like.

 

On a whim, I bought a HZRDUS Smoke Yellow (6.0, 75 gram) shaft to try out. The shaft was only ~$60 brand new, also snagged a new Ping adapter on sale as well. Curious to see how I get along with the HZRDUS Smoke Yellow in comparison to the OEM shaft. It's a cheap experiment anyways, and I'm looking forward to the shaft showing up.

Pro launch Blue 65R @45”

It just works for my swing.  I don’t have to tee it too high or try to hit up ridiculous amounts and it still launches and carries, it also feels good to me. 
 

First experience with it was in a Callaway FT-5 (10* with replaceable shaft) many years ago.  I have dabbled with a few others but have come back to this as I get older.

Dispersion is far better and it is even more anti-left compared to the Rogue White I had previously.

I've been using an AD-DI for so long now, anything else just feels wrong. I did switch a handful of years ago from a 7x to a 6x. I have no idea if it made any difference whatsoever. Every time I get a new driver, I just put the new adapter on that shaft and call it a day.

I have been playing the TSi3 with an LA Golf Shaft Trono 60 stiff. This has been my best all around driving season for as long as I can remember.  For the first time, I am no longer looking at other drivers or shafts.  I have a Black Ventus 6S with a Titleist adapter just sitting in the office waiting for the Trono to fail, but it is not likely to ever see the course.
