4  I have been trying for a few years to find something to replace my Scratch wedges, I haven't found anything that has the right combination of turf interaction and spin to stay in the bag very long. I still have to keep going back to the scratch set that is 11 years old. The only other option is to get national custom to make a new set for $$$. I would love to go to the kingdom and work with a fitter who knows what they are doing in an outdoor setting. Hopefully I could find something that works as well as full custom set .

5  yes, I'm always available

3. Current wedges and setup? TM MG2 50.09, 54.11, 58.11

4. Why do you want to be fit for TaylorMade MG3 wedges? I've never had a wedge fitting, and feel that getting fit into proper wedges, both for my swing as well as the turf types I play on, will allow me to lower my handicap into the + range where it used to be in highschool. I feel that of all areas, the wedge fitting will be the most beneficial in taking my game to the next level (And impress my dad even more on the course. lol)

4. Why do you want to be fit for TaylorMade MG3 wedges?  I waste a lot of shots around the green. It would be helpful to get fit and learn more about what bounce I should really be using to be effective at cutting a few strokes off of my score regularly.

3. Current wedges and setup? Cleveland RTX 3s. 48.8/52.9/56.12. +1". Stiff. I have a 60 as well but it mostly stays in the closet.

4. Why do you want to be fit for TaylorMade MG3 wedges? I've invested a lot into my golf game over the years, but I've never been fitted for wedges. As I've played more I've come to appreciate the different grinds, bounces, and lofts for various shots, and know with a set of new fitted wedges I can put my game over the top and finally crack into the single digit club.

4. Why do you want to be fit for TaylorMade MG3 wedges? I have always selected wedges based upon look and feel, not via club fitting. This experience would be very beneficial for my short game, as I’m sure I have overlooked something in my personal fitting process. Chris Trott did an excellent job describing details of the MG3 on Instagram - I’m very intrigued to feel the difference in interaction and feel compared to prior generations.

3. Current wedges and setup? 50.08, 54.10, 58.10 Callaway Mack Daddy 2 Tour Grind (From 2014)

4. Why do you want to be fit for TaylorMade MG3 wedges? The excitement at the TM camp with this product has been great to watch with players taking time to shoot with Trotie at the Liberty Intl Course this week (at my home town - NJ) . With players adopting and putting them int he bag speaks volumes. With my P7MC currently in order this would be a nice add on. The cherry on the cake would be , lefty fitting with wedges. Not easy to get to. Wished they called it SIM wedges so my name would then be all over the place like it is now 🙂

5. Are you available to be on site 8/30/2021 through 9/1/2021? - No Doubt

6. Will you be able to provide your own transportation to and from Reynolds Lake and East Lake Golf Club? - For sure, the long drive from NJ will be well worth it

4. I have always wanted to go to The Kingdom at Reynolds Lake. I have lived in Georgia most of my life and have yet to pay a visit. Since getting back into golf after a few years I am amazed at the technology available to players today for getting custom fit. When I was younger you simply walked into a store and grabbed what you liked and hoped it worked for you. It was all trial and error. Today you have basically the same opportunity and access as tour professionals to gear. I was recently fitted for some new irons outside on a range by a professional fitter and love my new combo set of irons. I can see the benefits of being able to be fit outside observing ball flight and turf interaction. It makes sense because after all we play golf outside. I have been looking to fill out the bottom of my bag with some custom fit wedges. The new MG3’s look amazing. I would love to opportunity to have this once in a lifetime experience.

3. Current wedges and setup? Mizuno T20 52.09 & 58.12

4. Why do you want to be fit for TaylorMade MG3 wedges? I’m looking to add a wedge to create better gapping and versatility. MG2’s nearly ended up in my bag this past winter, but I ultimately chose T20’s due to price and shaft options. I loved the feel and look of MG2’s and am interested to see how MG3’s stack up. Lastly, I consider myself a pretty crafty wedge player and I’m extremely curious to find out which grinds and bounces are appropriate for my game.

I want to get professionally fit for wedges because I have always been a Vokey guy but I would love to try something else if I was able to get properly fit for them.  TaylorMade wedges have definitely caught my attention before but I am a creature of habit and haven’t pulled the trigger yet. Also, as an amateur club builder it would be a dream to tour the TM truck and see how it all works on the tour!

3. Current wedges and setup?  Scratch Golf 1018 forged 50, 54, 58

4. Why do you want to be fit for TaylorMade MG3 wedges?  As with most here on GolfWRX, I have “fitted” myself to most equipment, including my wedges.  While I’ve had some success with the 58 degree LW, I am at a loss with the GW and SW.  I continue my quest to find the right combination of head/shaft that works.  I am in hopes a real fitting can shed light on my short comings of fitting wedges and find a combination that optimizes my wedge play from a question to a strength.

5. Are you available to be on site 8/30/2021 through 9/1/2021?  Yes

6. Will you be able to provide your own transportation to and from Reynolds Lake and East Lake Golf Club?  Yes

7. Are you willing to post high quality photos in the forum, write an in depth review of the experience, and possibly be featured on GolfWRX or TaylorMade social media posts?  Absolutely!!!  My home course has a very good practice green where I can hit most of the shots with the GW, SW and LW.

    • APPLY NOW: L.A.B. Golf MEZZ.1 Putter (Early Access) Member Testing! 10 Testers Needed!
L.A.B. Golf is choosing ten GolfWRX members to receive their MEZZ.1 putter early and put their brand new product to the test before reporting back to the community about what they see. The selected testers will be one of the first to experience the MEZZ.1 from L.A.B. GOLF, their newest Lie Angle Balanced design, ahead of it's January 2022 launch!

About The L.A.B. Golf Mezz.1 Putter
MEZZ.1 is our new mid-mallet putter that’s fully CNC machined from a billet of 6061 aircraft aluminum (body) and 303 stainless steel (midsection) to create our best-feeling — and we think best looking — putter to date. It includes 10 weights (eight on the bottom, two on the sides) that allow us to individually build each putter to a golfer’s exact specifications.

      How To Apply
In a post below, answer the following questions.

      1. City, State?
      2. Handicap?
      3. What is your current putter?
      4. Have you ever used a L.A.B. Golf putter?
      5. Why do you want to review the MEAZZ.1 putter?
      6. Do you agree to participate in an ongoing testing thread, posting reviews and photos?

That's it! @labgolf and GolfWRX will choose the testers in about 2 weeks! This testing event is for good-standing members in the USA only!
