I wanted to attend the 2006 Curtis Cup at Bandon....but a 11-12 hr drive is a long trek and I wasn't retired at the time...so not much leisure time.

Though the wife and I headed to the Safeway LPGA event weeks later....for a few days in Portland that same year.

The Safeway was such a great event at Columbia Edgewater.

And ya gotta LUV the OR no sales tax too.

Shame on me....I've yet to cross off Bandon on my bucket list....I wanted to head down for my 60th earlier in the year...but the land border continues to be closed and I wasn't willingly to fly down and then have to spend $2000 on a quarantine hotel for 3 days on my return and 11 other days of quarantine....damn Covid.

Are you watching?

The Americans are getting clobbered; hope this isn't the harbinger of things to come next week.

Yes, watching the Zhang/Heck vs Duncan /Darling 1st match (currently on 18th hole)

Hoping Megha Ganne also gets a run-out eventually (1st alternate?)

The youtube Live-stream Link i shared = allows you to re-start from the beginning (useful for catch-up)

USA 🇺🇸 team got their bottoms smacked 🍑 🙌 in the first session 4somes today 🙄

Rose Zhang & Rachel Heck avoided a loss... but then smacked each other’s bottoms...

is that choreographed celebration= a “Stanford thing”, as mentioned by the commentators? 🤔

I watched a few minutes on UTube.  Compared to pro tour events, very skimpy coverage due no doubt to absence of ADVERTISING.

I found the plastic face tattoos on some of the girls very juvenile. I saw few children in attendance, mostly old folks and not too many of those.

It's a low key event; hope the players can learn, improve and avoid injury from the nasty rough (easily found).

OK, what happened with the morning coverage? I recorded it, but it started with the first group on the 16th hole? Grrr. Golf Channel replayed the coverage later in the day. The afternoon play also got shorted.

Anyway, yeah the U.S. is lucky to be only 3 points behind. After watching numerous Ryder, Solheim, PGA, LPGA, and USGA match play events, I've realized that world rankings are meaningless. They're 98% based on stroke play. Playing steady over four rounds means little compared to going full throttle one hole at a time with no consequences for a blow up hole.

Tru dat.

That's why I said prior that I think the Solheim will be a tight match even though the Yanks are favored on paper.

I think Gina Kim is playing a M5....I play a M3...just bought a used Ping SFT 410...but I think I'll sell it....not loving the SFT and Tensei Orange shaft.

Arg...I think Gina is a PXG POSER like you...she's playing PXG irons with blacked out KBS shafts???

My GC coverage started at 1130pm PST....the 2nd wave coverage was cut short....I'm watching it as we speak.

Rose Zhang and Rachel Heck, USA means business!

Chokers.
I can't believe they are paired up again tomorrow.

Zhang & Heck are playing HIT & GIGGLE golf...you know....the stuff you see in the Wed. afternoon ladies league that ya get stuck behind if ya play later in the day.

Too much butt slapping......giggles and complimenting each other in their post 1st session interview.

Come on......get SERIOUS and step on your opponent's throat.

If this happy nonsense continues....it will be a guarantee Cristie Kerr will be the next US captain.

Did Lydia give the US team some driver lessons last week?...the US gals are spraying it off the tee.

Keep going.  The way you're describing the action I'm liking this pairing more and more.
