I would guess that if Bryson wasn't competing there wouldn't be a thread.  This is the only LD event I've ever watched for more than a few minutes.

it's a bit boring. Wish there was tracers. Hopefully they improve next year.

How are they determining how far the ball is going? Are there people watching where the balls end up or solely using launch monitors?

There are spotters on the side that do estimates then measure by hand after the set

Really amazed that Bryson made it so far.   Those long drivers are no joke!     It is really impressive that he was able to do that while being a tour player.

Bryson needs roids to compete with the top guys. I don’t think Berkshire is on them, but many of the other definitely are.

$50k US dollars at a minimum. There is also a $15k+ performance bonus prize pool. Not sure how that is distributed.

It was ONE HELLUVA FUN to watch it this evening, even if it was on YouTube... won't see BDC get more excited than this...on his toes after smashing one.

I heard if I recall correctly, DeChambeau also paid for dinner/drinks before the event as well for the competitors.
