Has anyone got an RSX 7 or Fang WITH the lines painted? Thank you

By painted you mean not naked like the blades?  For the mallets they seem to come with the lines on the fangs but not the topline.  That’s how my fang showed up.

I keep coming back to this topic because I want to buy ALL the damn putters... lol.  I have no reason to change putters, I just spent an ungodly (for me) amount on my Edel and I absolutely love and am committed to it, but the fantasy that I need more putters still lives on...  The Metal X Milled are basically Toulon putters without the name, no?  I want the #6 and I still want the #9HT.. although I'd go for the Versa for the lack of cavity line.

I’ve had at least two metal x milled putters and probably 6 different Toulons going back to pre-Odyssey and now with Odyssey, but bear in my this is just my opinion.

The metal x milled are great putters and for the price on CPO, a great pick up especially for unique models such as a milled 2 ball or if you like the versa scheme.  There is very little not to like.

The Toulon is a step above in most aspects, predominately aesthetically.  The pre- Oddy models were a very good entry for him and the Rochester I had for years was quite unique.  His garage work was really good as well as you could essentially build what you wanted.

Since being acquired by odyssey some things have changed but mostly for the better as a stock offering.  He expanded the face milling across the face, added some head shapes/finishes as well as the stroke lab shaft.

The feel of the Toulon is softer than the metal x milled.  The aesthetics are cleaner as is the finish.  I wouldn’t say the metal x milled is a Toulon without the name, but I would say for the price it’s a fantastic option and a great putter.

Do you know if the MXM 2-ball has its own weight or does it have its unique shape weight? Seems like you can find Mallet weight kits everywhere but not "2-ball" weight kits.

I believe they all use the same weights.  The 2-ball just uses one singular heavy weight in the back instead of heel/toe like the others.

I think the Toulon's have a better sound/feel than the MXM models.

I played a MXM 1 Versa for a couple of years as well as a #9HT Versa for a bit, and also couple of Toulons, a Long Island and a Madison w/ a plumbers neck, both for pretty long stints in the bag.

 Not the same at all.

I had a MXM 7 and 1 and I putted horribly with both. I never could get distance control down. They basically have nothing in common with Toulon, especially in feel.

The RSX line is a lot better. Go that route. Now if only Odyssey could find a warehouse full of new Protype putters - those are pretty equal to Toulons. I still wish I had my #2 340g.

Never played a mallet before but the #7 shape has always looked pretty good to me. Just picked up a BST EXO 7s and an RSX 7 from CPO.

Nice 7! Did you add the red sight dot or did it come that way? Looks good

Masking tape, light punch, and a drill. Paintfill.

Bunch of Metal X Milled putters dropped on CPO. If there had been a MXM 1W I might have courted divorce to acquire one more CPO putter before season ends here...

Dang - thought they still had some, added to cart, but then realized it was left handed! don't need another putter i guess, but those are cool looking.

I would be so happy if the protypes return. Always regretted not getting one because they were great when I demoed them

Took the RSX #2 out for its maiden on course voyage - liked it very much. The slightly less toe hang vs. my Toulon Austin was a plus. Toe hang on the #2 is roughly in the vicinity of that on the Toulon Chicago - maybe 2:30? Definitely less than 45*.

Only issue was the greens had just been punched and dressed and whatever was on them took the white paintfill out on the sole. First for that happening. I'll probably just remove the rest once I get a chance.

The CPO site lists the 2-ball as weight adjustable is that accurate?

Yes they had a single oval shaped weight that could be changed. I believe they came with a weight kit originally that had two extra weights in it. So you could have three different head weights. The WH pro and the white ice 2 Ball models used the same weights.

I got this weight kit recently when I purchased a odyssey mallet headcover and the unused weight kit was in the cover. I have no putter that uses these weights
