Boy, lots of "haters gonna hate" here. These look great and can't wait to hit them. Ping has always been an industry leader in innovation, quality and dependability.

Have a different opinion isn’t being a “hater” it’s having a different opinion. Are you 12?

Blueprint,210,410,500,700,710 use the same toe weight/hosel weight system

I changed shafts in my 210s...no hosel  weight on the dg 120 shafts when they came out....but the 210s don't have a toe weight either. I guess my question is are the hosel weights epoxied in the hosel and if you reshaft do the come off?

Not trying to be a hater here, but does anyone find those wedges at address appearing quite bulbous?

I do as well. The leading edge is not appealing to me at all, which is why I play OG Ping Glides and not the newer stuff.

Why's everyone tweaking about the hosel notch? Ping has always done this...

It's not the notch that bothers me, it's the thickness of the hosel itself. Thicccc like my wife after our second child.

It's generally so they don't snap when they whack them with their big rubber hammers at the factory when they changed the lofts/lies.

The i59s look nice, but I think the i210s will go down as serious classics (get them whilst you can!).

You're correct on the 210. All the others with the toe screw have the same weighting system.

Not only that, but for that money the grind and sole options are insanely limited. I was hoping they’d have some wide sole and/or high bounce options

My builder told me the i210 weights are in the cavity under the elastomer insert.

Oooof. They didn't really think through this for graphite shaft users.

In the Ping G425 and G410 irons they call it a hosel weight. I bet its the same thing. And I don't think it causes any issues with graphite shafts.

Why do companies only pair up minimal offset with the smallest irons? Why not create the i59 with the same offset as iblades?

The first Q I think is something many have hoped for or wondered about. The second Q tho actually exists, the i59 is so close in offset to the iblade that they are all but identical in that respect.

It's always hard to tell from pics but I just never understood that about companies (not ping specifically).  If you make a players cb then make a damn players cb!  The i59 looks nice though, look forward to giving them a crack.

The i59 essentially has the same offset as the iblade. Technically the i59 has a tiny amount less in the short irons.

Don't pretty much all of the manufacturer's offer at least a couple models with damn near zero offset? The i59 has less offset than Mizuno 921 tours and the same as the MP20. Less than the Titleist t100. Less than 2% of the population are plus handicaps. I'm a 4 handicap and likely wouldn't play the i59's because they are too "players" for me.

@RacineBoxer

The hosel weights are just shaft tip weights. There is very little room in a graphite shaft to add a lot of weight.

Had a chance to hit them today. They are gorgeous and on looks alone I would have ordered them. Was able to hit about 10 balls with the LZ shaft and did not like the feel. We changed to the AWT shaft and it was immediately better. Obviously I need more time with them and would like to hit them on grass outside before making a decision, but …

Not sure which graphite shafts will be available in Europe, for the time being only the Ping graphite shaft and some Recoils seem to be in the list. Maybe they go the same route than Srixon and do not propose the MMT over here.

Is that just a .355 slug that takes up room at the bottom of the hosel?

When I reshafted my i210 with MMTs, I was a little freaked out the the top of the ping hosel didn't contact the shaft to make room for the indented ferrule. If even less hosel was contacting the shaft I wouldn't like it.

Ping's hosel weighting system is not a tip weight.  There is a bored space below the shaft in the hosel.  During assembly a weight is selected based on need that's dropped down the hosel and into the bore before the shaft is installed.  Tom Wishon designed a similar hosel weight space decades ago when he worked for Golfsmith.

Actually, the weight IS the elastomer insert.  The size of the elastomer is greater as the gram weight increases.

So ..it sounds like if I wanted to reshaft the i59s that had a steel shaft with a graphite shaft, the weight should stay in the hosel? I would need to reshaft with a similar shaft weight since they are installed at the factory for similar swing weight?

Im reshafting mine

Maybe- Ping has stated toe & hosel to maximize MOI

So just assuming - Say install a CB graphite iron shaft/ tip heavy....that should change the moi characteristics & different weighting should be required to maintain moi

Just throwing things out there....I have past experiences with Moi matched wishon
