It's hard to say for sure because different shafts have different balance points.  For example, I'm a Recoil 95 guy and they have a low balance point so the swingweight sometimes goes up even when replacing shafts that are heavier.  The devil's in the details.

the i59s are like copies of the shorter wedges of the Nike vapor pro combos. Just perfect to have that through the set. Always wanted that. Well done Ping. Gorgeous.

I think Ping made a forged Glide before but most of the Glide family (original, 2.0, Stealth, 3.0) were cast.

Wish I knew if there was a replacement in the works for the i210 or if the i59 is covering a couple of bases.  Torn between the i59 or just ordering another set of i210's as I like shiny new stuff.

 

I love my 210's but have been known to experiment quite a bit as it's only money and we're all gonna be dead soon so.....🤷‍♂️

 

I'm one of the guys that actually really likes the Recoil 780 Smacwrap and would go that route again regardless.

i59 tell you everything 

 

So i59 are replacing iblade & s55

 

i525 are already in hands,  so that is definitely coming out [spring '22] which translate to February order placement 

 

I'd say the next i2** series probably won't see action till '22 US Open....and that is if the supply chain has been fixed

The local ping rep came by the shop a few days ago and boy those wedges were nice. Noticably smaller than a vokey or a mg2 maybe even smaller than a md5. Topline was nice and thin and they felt proper smooth off the face. Pretty normal launch and spin numbers, nothing special to report there.

Or i210 with no offset at all.  I remember there were a few sets of WRX i5 irons floating around golfwrx where they had zero offset.  I believe pressed out of the casting with a big hydraulic press.  Always wanted a set of those, could not afford them.

That is to make it easier for lie adjustments. Common for cast ping irons, not sure if it's really needed being these are forged. They probably wanted to go for the more classic ping look.
