Ribbed grip on adjustable shaft question

I'm a bit behind the times on technology. Really love ribbed grips on my driver, woods and irons. Giving an adjustable driver another try. This time it's the M6. Looks like the TM adapter limits how a ribbed grip can be used. I could have sworn the Great Big Bertha Gravity core adapter I tried worked with a ribbed grip regardless of the adapter selection position. 

 

So what's the deal when it comes to ribbed grips and current Titleist, Ping  Callaway, Srixon, etc. adjustable driver adapters?

I'm not an expert on every adapter in the industry but generally speaking, moving the adapter setting involves rotating the shaft thus a ribbed grip would also have to be moved.

I knew it. They're sticking it to me. I'm left-handed in all things except golf. Using ribbed grips is like being a lefty in a righty world all over again.

Blow the grip on, and when you adjust the shaft adjust the grip with air.  About the only thing you can do - and you can't do it at the course/range.

On adjustable sleeve TS2, 4wd, 2 iron, PW, SW & LW I have GP CP2 Pro + 2 wraps.  I use 3 different sleeve settings, depending on weather and course condition.  I chose that grip because its a great grip for feel, and it allows not only sleeve adjustment, but manipulating the face angle on those irons. 

 

On 3i-9 iron I have MCC Align + 2 wraps.

 

If there's an adjustable sleeve on any club, you either have to find the right setting first, then put align grip on or use Golf Pride Tour Velvet 360 Flat Cap grips.

Agree with previous comment.   I bought a 5 Wood on this app and replaced the grip with a midsize the realized the hazel settings were not standard.    So now my grip label is to the right rather than down after I adjusted the shaft.    I won’t make that mistake again.   Ugh.

This really should be the impetus for learning to re-grip clubs, but I'm lazy and my guy at PGA Superstore does a great job with alignment. Would need a small, quiet air compressor since I live in a multi-unit building. 

 

I should be okay once I confirm the settings at the range. The current grip is an MCC +4. Have to see if I can control the 3/4 inch increase in shaft length (45 to 45.75). 

 

I go with the ribbed grip because I like how it puts my hands in the same position each time, but also because of my left eye dominance. Similar to less or no offset on a putter, the ribbed grip helps with alignment over the ball.

Cally adapter does not alter the grip position. But not as much adaptability.

Adapters that use two cogs (Callaway) to adjust loft and lie don't change the position of the grip.

 

All of the others rotate on a single axis and as such the grip rotates.

Titleist does adjust the shaft orientation when adjusting. I have TS3 driver and 3 wood and 4 TS2 hybrids of varying lofts. 

 

The titleist adapter only has 1 cog, the bottom cog part is actually the fixed part of the adapter. To adjust the number rotates the shaft, to adjust the letter doesn't move the shaft.
