Disappointed with Scotty Cameron champions choice putter

I still can't see the paint issues OP is talking about. Obviously there is some awesome SC stuff, but anything made in larger quantities is never worth the price IMO. You have a putter with no tech at all, 100s - 1000s made, and pricetags upwards of 400-$500. I don't expect perfection when picking up something made  large batches.

I'm on the "sell it and get a lajosi" bandwagon.

I don’t think OP is being nit-picky at all. You would think for $600 they could get simple things right, like centering the button back screws… seriously just look at the one with the blue paint fill. If I send it back how do they even fix this? Laughable.

It's a Scotty imperfections make it worth more somehow.

But that I'd be a bit more upset about.

is it a paint issue not a screw issue? It kind of looks like a problem with the paint.

Though much is taken much abides;
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

The Mizuno MCraft yes a Stunning putter, im a big Mizzy fan but know you lose 40% before you go around the first corner..the Scottys are Excellent Value keepers....you can heat the shaft and re epoxy in a more Centred position.Play your best!

I’d never even heard of those until today. They look to have a few interesting options.
I may take a closer look at those as I do like to use a putter that’s not in everyone else’s bag. Thanks

I think its ok to be picky especially with putters I know I am. As others have said I feel 15 years or so ago Scotty really started slacking and only have a couple of his putters left. One from 03 and 06. I would recommend looking into other handmade boutique putter makers. Lajosi is great as plenty have said since you are in Australia. He did a very simple but custom DD201 last year and love its looks and feel! Next to none for the price as well! If you look outside your country check into Piretti (my gamer), Byron Morgan, Goodwood just to start. All great to work with and better feel and quality then OTR Scotty

I don't understand how the club made it into your bag if you hate the sound and feel. Did you buy it without trying it first?

Would also need a lot more info on what you're looking for in a driver. Desired trajectory, shot shape, typical miss, etc...

Was fit for it at my local golf headquarters. Sounded different in the bay compared to outside. Tried hot melt, didn’t do much imo.

I hit it pretty straight but not very long. Need every yard I can get. Miss is low in the face and occasionally over draw. Want higher launch, lower spin. Any suggestions?

I as selling mine now but it is boxed up so I cannot check the shaft. I would try and exchange your putter. You paid good money for it and it should not have issues. I guess I am just a blade kind of guy. I don't plan on any more putters. I can do well with a Swag and a Byron Morgan, both amazing putters with no issues at all.

Its not what you paid for,

If you do not deal with it,

Slowly, you will blame missed putts with the shaft not being seated properly.

Then you will lose confidence in the putter,

Them you will start looking for its replacement.

I would get it fixed, before putting misses

mess with your confidence.
