I recently re-watched that interview.  Just citing his quote "he'll learn" in written form doesn't provide the proper context.  Strange was extremely condescending.  In my opinion that interview is an example of him being a jerk.

It was just an interview, Curtis isn't Oprah and it was a harmless comment, lol.  He wasn't "mean" to Tiger. 

 

It's just a big deal since because of what Tiger started accomplishing and at a rapid rate, even Strange laughs about it.

Strange had a sensational collegiate and pro playing career. As a television broadcaster/interviewer he is horrible and I find it astounding that he continues to be employed as such.

Yeah, I don't necessarily hate him as a broadcaster.  I'm not all that critical of broadcasters in general.  I was mainly replying to golfortennis' challenge to cite an example where Strange was a jerk.  This Tiger interview was an example.  ✌️

Played against Randy in a couple of NCGA events as well. One was the 4 ball (he was paired with Daryl Donovan). I think he missed 1 shot in 2 days at Spyglass. Shot 68 on his own ball on a day that he putted like crap. Great guy and great player.

Family member played against that Wake team (arguably one of the best teams off all time). I was told he was hyper talented, hyper competitive, and he was there to win. I'm guessing you'd get a similar vibe from people like Ray Floyd or Hale Irwin when they're in the arena, not sure if that qualifies as jerk status, but you get the idea.

Which I guess I wouldn't necessarily hold it against him.  He is at his place of work, so unless he's told kids to F off or something, the fact he wasn't warm and fuzzy wouldn't qualify him as a jerk in my mind.

I haven’t played golf with Mike McCoy since I was a junior in high school and he was several years my senior. His younger sister and I graduated high school together. He’s a genuinely good guy. He comes from a super good family. Back then he wasn’t playing very well but he got into a really good insurance agency that really started to thrive and gave him a lot of confidence (and income) and his golf game really took off again after that. Happy to see him get as far as he did.

Very upright. Super-high hands, with left hand wrist "locked out" it's so upright. Uses the line on all putts. Fantastic putter. One of the best I've ever played with.

I worked for the same company as Chip Lutz. Didn't know anything about him until I googled is name after a trip to his office. I was amazed with all of the Pine Valley, Augusta National memorabilia 🙂

Oh I agree that is his setup and it works extremely well, I meant more along the lines of what did you change / incorporate into your putting routine / stroke
