They're as easy to hit as the T model with slightly smaller offset and reduced bounce. They cut through thick rough like a hot knife through butter. Easy to work and spin into greens stops the balls in a very short distance. I had the 2 sets,0211 ST and 0311 Gen3 T, going head to head yesterday on my launch monitor and there wasn't any difference in performance. I've actually noticed a little bit better performance on the course. There's a few videos which will back up my statements out on the net.

Just to be clear, there are two models:

 

The 0211 DC is the cast body, dual core filled, hollow body game improvement model selling at $79.99.

 

The 0211 ST is a solid body, forged, 8620 steel, blade model that is selling at a ridiculously low price of $99.99 given the type of club and phenomenal performance.

Any thoughts on the Elevate shaft for someone that already launches it pretty high with DG X100s?

I have the Elevate Tour in my ST and they're a penetrating flight path for my swing. I was worried about hitting it high with the Elevate's, very happy with Tour.

I bought a set of Proto woods. Ordered on 9/29 and shipped on 10/4. They are for a second set of clubs that I’m going to keep at a buddy in Arizona’s house for winter escapes from Illinois.  Price was good enough to give them a go. Won’t see a ton of rounds.

does anyone have an idea what the heros pricing is for the gen4 XP's?  ready to pull the trigger here and my brother in law is a firefighter.  Just dont want to have the hassle of him signing up if its not worth it.

Are the clubs for you or him? I don't know if it's wise for him to use his "Hero" discount on clubs for you. Not the most ethical decision IMO.

Agree with so many on here. PXG is a hobby for Bob Parsons. I live in Scottsdale, he owns half the damn town.🤣 He’s not worried about PXG sales.

$264 for the black and $239 for the chrome.  

 

I'm in love with the Gen 3's, but have my eye on the black Gen 4's.

Does anyone have experience with the black finish on PXG irons?

I know they will wear, but wondering if they'll last a few years and if the exposed metal underneath is bright and polished or will it blend in ok?

I did not know this.. Good on Ping.  I purchased my PXG's using the discounted pricing, but I earned it.

Yea PING has as far as I know always been very good about taking care of Veterans.   Only way you can get an actual PING approved discount on new products is to be a Veteran I believe.

Good thing I don’t want any ping irons. And thanks for your input. Not exploiting anything.  My brother in law is a firefighter and more than willing to order them thru PXG for me.  God forbid I get a discount on $1500 irons. Lmaoooo

I have a couple of PXG clubs with the black finish (Gen 2 0311x, Gen 1 0311 GW, Sugar Daddy, One & Done putter). They do wear, but in my experience less so than other black finished clubs I have bought recently (Mizuno ES21, Callaway Full Toe wedge, Cleveland Zipcore).

 

My black shafts show more wear than the clubheads.

 

I recently bought a cheap set of Gen4 0311Ts from their eBay store. If they work out I'll replace them with the black version.

Dang I wish I had never seen this thread. I love my Muiras but having a back up set of PXG blades at our second home would make not having to carry clubs in the car a lot more convenient.
