Any suggestions for cleaning these older irons? Does removing the patina make the set lose value? I saw videos about putting them in coke and may other cleaning methods.  What would be the best way to clean these up without damaging or ruining them. Does removing the old paint and putting new paint effect value? What are some best practices for removing and putting on new paint.

Best method for cleaning without affecting patina.  Dishwashing soap and scrub with a nylon soft bristle brush.  If necessary, use an old toothbrush in the back cavity and the grooves.  Additionally, use #0000 steel wool on the shafts to remove accumulated grunge and any surface rust imperfections.  Won't affect the plating. Then apply an application of chrome polish.

A coke soak (and other solutions) will remove the patina.  Wouldn't do it on a set of BeCu's, the patina is part of the inherent value with E2 irons.  Once cleaned, an enhancement trick is to apply a light coat of gun oil to the heads.

Have to be careful with applying paint fill.  Ideally, all existing paint should be stripped.  Paint removers are going to impact patina.  Even with leaving the existing paint, after the fill, the acetone used to remove the excess will wipe away some of the patina.  Tricky business.

Why are you asking about values?  Are you contemplating selling them?  If so, would leave it to the buyer to make refurbishing decisions.  See some nasty looking dings on the leading edge of a couple.

Unlike pxg/Bettnardi/Scotty Cameron I think pings are functional not fancy, especially the eye 2.   I would suggest that you play golf with them, not spend time on shining them up.  You could refresh the white #s with testors white paint, or you could take white paint out w nail polish remover and call it murdered/blacked out if that feels better to you.  Scrub them up with a plastic bristle brush.

nice looking set of irons to play golf with.

I am newer to golf and bought 2 irons sets for 350.  The other set was big bertha 2006. From the advice of a friend across states they told me to buy both.  They were 200. A set or 350 for both.  My friend said for me to use the berthas  which he said are worth around 200-250 due to comps recently sold on ebay. He also said  resell the pings to get some if not all of the money invested into both sets.   That is the reason i was asking about values.  I also have a the becu sand wedge but the serial doesnt match

I know I'm not answering your cleaning/paint questions, but definitely test them head to head vs the Berthas before selling.  Eye2s are one of the most iconic irons of all time for a reason!

FWIW most on here seem to love the brown patina, but I love the shiny orange-y look of BeCu.. had a putter that I would Coke or polish with Scotch Brite to bring the shine back.
