Hovland ditch the i59s?

I think it was said in some of the interviews, a bunch of folks just didn’t like the lack of forgiveness on slight offcenter strikes

Man I have heard different. That these were just as forgiving as the i210's. If you look at a lot of the Titleist pros they are not hitting the new T100s. Most of them are playing the ap2's or the last years model t100s. I chalk it up to they dont want to keep switching irons and play what they like.

I’m talking about Blueprints, not i59

Reportedly.  But I have never seen of one that was obtained through the fitting.

I think a few fellow members have gone through a fitting. It seems a crapshoot to get one, it should be something available through their site. They could start off with a handful of shapes and go from there.

But they could alleviate a lot envious eyes by having a milled line-up with classic lines and head-shapes.

Ping has a bad reputation and is seen as the step child of the big 4. Their clubs feel like they were built for 30 handicaps. Even their players irons.

Translation:  Ping doesn't pay stupid money to a few bigs......they'd rather spread their budget around so they have a stable of top pros.......especially hot shots out of colleges that expect millions up-front 😜

Ping has a bad reputation? Ping reputation and brand recognition is right up there with Titleist, Taylormade and Callaway. Literally don't understand what you are talking about but you are clearly misinformed on a factual basis.

You might have a different reality but that doesn't make it factual.

Eye test, feel and word of mouth disagree with you.

Check out Rick Shiels review of them? Thought interesting. I sure wish they would have gone cast replacement and return to “S”. Not a lot of players on their site listed as playing which I was surprised at. Curious to see what Ping players start next season with.

Agree.   I'd love to see a return to the cast S line.

I would say that Ping is one of the top respected golf companies. Their engineering and design is tip top notch. The only thing they are missing is the stable of pro's of the big 3 and the glitzy marketing.

they got hovland, tony, and louis...and harris english who won twice last year, that's pretty damn good!

Sad that Louis, Tony, Hovland and English are all stuck with a bad equipment company, wasting their talent...they only won $23,296,029 in the 2021 season.

    • APPLY NOW: L.A.B. Golf MEZZ.1 Putter (Early Access) Member Testing! 10 Testers Needed!
L.A.B. Golf is choosing ten GolfWRX members to receive their MEZZ.1 putter early and put their brand new product to the test before reporting back to the community about what they see. The selected testers will be one of the first to experience the MEZZ.1 from L.A.B. GOLF, their newest Lie Angle Balanced design, ahead of it's January 2022 launch!

About The L.A.B. Golf Mezz.1 Putter
MEZZ.1 is our new mid-mallet putter that’s fully CNC machined from a billet of 6061 aircraft aluminum (body) and 303 stainless steel (midsection) to create our best-feeling — and we think best looking — putter to date. It includes 10 weights (eight on the bottom, two on the sides) that allow us to individually build each putter to a golfer’s exact specifications.

      How To Apply
In a post below, answer the following questions.

      1. City, State?
      2. Handicap?
      3. What is your current putter?
      4. Have you ever used a L.A.B. Golf putter?
      5. Why do you want to review the MEAZZ.1 putter?
      6. Do you agree to participate in an ongoing testing thread, posting reviews and photos?

That's it! @labgolf and GolfWRX will choose the testers in about 2 weeks! This testing event is for good-standing members in the USA only!
