Anyone Have An Idea of What TM’s Driver Plans Are for 2022?

Well welcome, you picked a good thread for your First 3 posts 😉

7mp over what driver?

This comparing flush hits to flush hits? Or an average across the face?

It’s the only one of the 2022 clubs I’ve seen or hit 🤷‍♂️
7mph over SIM2 with identical shaft (Both hit consecutively)

This is flush to flush, but tbh, it might be more on off centre hits. I hit a few off toe and heel (I wish it was on purpose) and didn’t lose more than 1-2mph.

I am honestly not a TM player or fanboy and take each years driver with a real pinch of salt,  but was very impressed with this.

Spoke to two people who have seen and hit the new Stealth…here is the feedback

Both game TSI3 …one said the sound was similar to Sim2..the other thought it was a duller sound but not terribly different..both thought it was a cool looking driver..red face..shape similar to TSI3..neither saw huge numbers improvement but hit it with the stock Ventus shaft..which is a non velocore made for TM shaft…neither will be switching from their TSI3

I've hit a bunch of Twist Face drivers and tbh I hated the feel, to the point where I'd just written off TaylorMade as an option. If they switch away from Twist Face and significantly improve the feel, then I might (might) consider switching.

And titleist marketing has entered the conversation. We have a budding OEM wargame going...

Not even close..lol..I play the Sim2…I will be hitting the Stealth as soon as possible…both of they guys I spoke with said it was very hard to tell how good the new TM is due to not being able to try different shafts….they obviously prefer the feel and sound of the TSI3…not sure the Stealth is a huge of a leap forward as is being portrayed…Imagine that…😂😂

I’m skeptical of claims of 3 mph and higher ball speed improvements. 1-2 mph improvements I think are realistic but beyond that, I’m thinking is exaggeration.

Yep. I’ll wait until I can get my hands on one and try it. My BS detector is ringing very loudly atm.

I'm more interested in the fairways. If they've put an adjustable hosel on the max fwy then they will get a test from me. I'll hit the driver since moveable weight tech is back. But I LOVE my sim setup

Ok but the only question I need answered is, will it get me out of my 10.5 turned to 8 degree original SIM? This is the question that needs to be answered.

Thing is an absolute booty smasher

I have a buddy who knows his numbers inside and out and he gained 5-9 mph of ball speed during testing. I have seen and heard the hype before and this one is off the charts?

If this is even remotely close to being true a couple things must be happening; he is very, very poorly fit in his current driver, the LM used is juice or this new driver is probably illegal.

1-2 mph ball speed I can believe. Beyond that, something is amiss.

I’m sorry I just don’t believe 5-9 mph when we live in an age of every driver from the past 3 years being right on the cusp of being illegal.

Alright give me 10 min so I can call him and tell him a guy on an Internet forum does not believe him…he will be devastated. In all seriousness I am extremely skeptical also. He is a high speed very low spin player so I am not sure if this will be the norm.

Stealth + = Low spin 'tour' driver with a weight track $600

Stealth Max - no sliding weights, more forgiveness, same Ole stuff. $575

Stealth HD - Draw bias version. $575

Stock shafts are sick.

Kai'li and a custom red/black Ventus 'red' shaft.  Along with Hzrdus RDX Red.

Carbon face, red and black color scheme.  Gonna be a new radical look.

It was a lot of information at once and I don't remember it all.

i found out today $579.99 looks like the new price. plus a premium + version for $799.99.  couldn't tell ya what that would be.

This sounds the most legitimate in terms of feedback. Especially with the TSI3, since it's not the longest driver on tour. Todays drivers are already within the COR limits so just because it's a carbon face doesn't mean it's hotter than titanium.  it still has to be within the usga legal limit. So then what's giving the 3-7 added ball speeds?

I’d be thrilled with equal numbers of my SIM on center hits and +3 on off strikes. I’m not greedy. 🤣
