Totally agree. Person on previous page with a total of 5 posts claimed a 7mph gain over SIM2 with identical shaft…  🙄 I’ll just say that I’ll believe it when I see it.

They might have. But if they did their swing is absolutely trash and they just missed a few shots in their small sample size.

 In the same post he claimed he hit a few off the heel and toe and only lost 1-2 mph. So even off the heel and toe, the new driver is 5-6 mph better than SIM2 on center hits. Ground breaking stuff. I’m definitely pre-ordering one based on his feedback 😊😜🙃

Post total aside, the claims are malarkey. Seriously, the notion that a person could pick up to 30 yards thanks to a composite face ball speed increases is preposterous.

the hype will always be better if they let people imagine it rather than see it. See the people who are posting here about 30 yards gains in distance. That’s way better than letting everyone hit them for themselves or having them saying you may be able to gain 1-2 mph speed on off center hits.

I am skeptical of anything TM since Rocketballz. 20 more yards. We've heard it before. I'll need to get on Trackman to a bay hitting balls to an outdoor range.

The pro that I take lessons with had photos of it and was able to hit it when he was in CA a couple weeks back. Looks wise, I’m not a fan but obviously this will be dependent upon the person.

 

Performance wise on centered strikes there wasn’t any difference. He said on off centered shots he was seeing on average 1 to 1.5 more MPH of ball speed than his SIM2. Obviously he isn’t a robot so the strikes weren’t perfectly equal but he did say he had a shot with each that was completely off the toe and the stealth was 4 yards longer in carry. He said if he wasn’t TM staff, he wouldn’t upgrade.

I’m only going by what I saw on Quad. I am a PGA pro, not a TM employee or affiliate 🤷‍♂️

Don’t post reasonable things. That isn’t going to fly here. Did you mean to say the toe shots with the stealth actually had much higher ball speed than nutted shots with the Sim2 rendering the old driver obsolete?

And I don't believe the entirely carbon bottom of the SIM2 has had any real issues.

I wouldn't necessarily skewer or ridicule the people who claim 5-10 mph ball speed.  Maybe it was true for them.  Maybe they have a bad, ill fitting club to start and they got a hot head to demo.  We've seen YouTube videos where someone may hit a certain driver 20 yards further.

 

But in science, this is called anecdotal evidence.  Which means it doesn't mean much at all.  It's not a scientific test and to assume or imply it will hold true for others is just wrong.

Went to PGA Superstore for lunch today and TM rep was there with a stealth and thing looks awesome.

 

Mini-300 vibes on top - sliding weight back which is huge for me - and crazy looking face but i think it looks great overall
