Anyone Have An Idea of What TM’s Driver Plans Are for 2022?

Absolutely! I remember one of my 1st posts here was an original topic. I posed the question ‘Dose getting a full custom fitting make sense if you are a higher handicapper that can’t repeat a swing?’. I concluded that it didn’t make a lot of sense to me because the swing isn’t consistent enough to take advantage of the service. Said it made more sense to just get proper shaft flex, length and lie. Get the full on fitting when the swing got more consistent…. Anyway. I remember one of the replies was “what do you care what others do”. 😂 Um, ok 😜

Crowd sourcing is why we are all here. That wasn’t my point. My point is the guy saying to you, “get custom fit or suck” isn’t adding much to the conversation. The same as the guy who says, “if you aren’t playing blades, you are a hacker” and the “don’t waste your money on new clubs they are no better than last years model”.

Sorry if this has been asked, but does anyone know when the embargo will be lifted in other countries outside of Asia? All the current reviews on YT are from Japan and South Korea.  The friends I’ve asked to translate don’t play golf so they can’t really give me the feedback I’m looking for 😅

Assuming it’s true that fitting carts in CA will be available in January, then maybe the restriction in Europe will be lifted by December? (I think Europe gets it ahead of US soil by a month)

We have like 50+ more sleeps until all the juicy details come out.

Same here, and it was MUCH more consistent.  I still have the original SIM MAX, and I’d be shocked if this new driver will beat it.  SIM2 & SIM2max didn’t do it.

I’m still buying it though 😂

If tour pros still holding onto the SIM, what makes y’all so eager to jump into the newest? Lol be buying redundant clubs after posting how good XYZ was.
Im starting to think a lot of brands are approaching a wall with drivers and it’s starting to show.

That’s been true at least since the G400 generation. It’s about small tweaks now and finding new materials that enable you to have similar ball speed all over the face

I just saw a different post where it kinda changed my perspective.
finding a driver that can really compliment YOUR swing.
I feel the ones that stay with the “older” driver have found that and the ones that still keep buying are trying to get to that space.
but yeah your definitely on the nail with that.

I will for sure hit it when it arrives. The slider weight justifies that for me. I will then put the stg through its paces too. Will be very, very tough to beat my sim though.

The stg intrigues me. I hit a few balls off it several weeks ago. It has a spot just above the center that gets launch up around 13.5 (I'm usually 10-12 max) and spin around 2100. It competes on ballspeed too.

    • Sony Open Pics from January 11, 2022 Part 1
I was able to get out to the Sony Open today to take a few pics.  I guess due to Covid precautions they kept the spectators pretty far from the players.  Also due to camera restrictions they've put in place, I wasn't able to bring the big lens like I normally do. Hopefully they'll ease up on the ropes and I'll be able to get more pics tomorrow!
