Just painted over maybe.  Just because you don't see the carbon doesn't mean it isn't there.  But, could possibly be metal too.  Who knows.

Sorry just more observations -10g sliding weight, seems construction is identical to og sim except for the face.

The golf world is like Formula 1 racing. The governing body sets standards, but very smart engineers find ways to work around existing rules or make gains in a place where a rule does not exist yet. Obviously budgets and engineering aren't going to be as massive in golf as they are in Formula 1 but the premise stays the same.

Since TM is achieving weight savings with the carbon face, maybe they didn’t have to use as much carbon on the sole.  I am onboard if it truely does have ball speed retainment/forgiveness across the face and maintains the feel and sound of the OG SIM.  Didn’t like the feel and sound of SIM2 as much

Won’t be surprised if a lot of people go the custom route to get a black face or different color face. Red doesn’t do it to me. It’s a stressful color haha

For me it will depend on what shaft I dial it in with. I like the red but with a blue or green or orange shaft it would look like throw up. Not that I wouldn’t hit it that way but with a custom option why not. Rdx Green with Green face?

Another thing with custom option is that it’s most likely an extra $100 upcharge which would probably make the total package 699-799? Not including shaft upcharge.

This driver has my attention. My concern is how the face is bonded to the frame since you can’t weld carbon.

Any swings that catch the perimeter of the face are going to destroy those edges. I'm sure the performance is fine in the center, but how many of us hackers catch the center every time? I foresee a lot of issues with casual players hitting the rims.

Maybe it's the angles but not sure how I like the face...but looks like shiny metal surrounding the face.

 

II was kind of hoping they went the way Titleist did on the TSi3  or just swappable weight positions.

Not a fan of sliding tracks.
