best app for apple, with hole advance

looking for a good free app or if it is really good i will pay , I want automatic hoke advance

That’s not a very detailed question, but I like The Grint for the cool looks, comprehensive stats, easy scorekeeping, official GHIN index and good GPS functionality (finding a layup distance when there’s obstacles or you’re new to the course). 
There‘s a Premium option for more features, which is only $20/year.

Oh, I forgot: when you enter your score for the hole and submit it, it automatically advances to the next.

I am going to download grint today and try it. I like golfshot plus and use it a lot. 18Birdies is a good one to keep track of Side games.  Wish someone would make one where it could keep track of side games between foursomes.  Meaning when the group  or groups ahead enter their scores it would tell you were your group stands, say best 3 out of 4 ball

I’ll add a second vote for GolfShot. I’ve been using it since last year. It automatically goes to the next hole once you input your score.

 

It’s great for stat tracking also.

That is a big deal.  I got rid of my golfshot app because it would advance just because I was parked near the current green before I entered my score.

I haven’t used Golf Shot yet.  I loved Hole 19 and am now currently using 18 Birdies.  Have enjoyed both.   I didn’t care for the Grint.  It either ran my watch battery (Apple Watch) down or phone down.   Not sure why.

I've been using Golfshot Plus for years and I like it a lot.  It gives distances to all hazards, the front, middle and back of the green.  If you want to know the distance to a specific target, you put your finger on the map and slide it to your target and it'll give you that distance.  Great app IMO.

I’ve been using TheGrint for quite awhile along with a simple Garmin watch GPS.  I recently got an Apple Watch so I downloaded TheGrint Apple Watch app.  The first two rounds I used it it was fine but a little slow updating distances sometimes.  Today when I was using the app kept closing and going back to the watch so I’d have to reopen it and wait for it to update…really annoying.  I had my phone in the console of my pushcart so put it in my pocket like I’d had it the first two rounds.  Any idea why it would do that?

156 yard par 3 with a green that slopes right to left. Greenside bunker left, desert right. Pulled an 8, but then changed my mind and decided on an easy 7.  Was hitting into the sun. I saw my tee shot hit the right side of the green and then bounce a bit left and was rolling towards the pin. Then the ball disappeared. BUT, I didn't know that it dropped in the hole. When I got to the green, I saw a ball in line with the pin, but just short of the green. I said to my cart partner, that I would have bet $100 that I was on the green. Turns out the ball short of the green, was another partner's ball. So I said "mine must be in the hole". Walked to the pin and there it was, bottom of the cup. So I actually saw it go in, I just didn't know I saw it go in.

Jumping on to this thread as I have a similar question -

 

Looking for an apple watch golf GPS app that doesnt require you to be running the app on your phone as well.

I tried swing-u but that just shows where your phone is so if you have to keep your phone with you so might as well just look at it.

Had an older version of hole 19 but that destroyed my watch battery life and performance -

 

Any ideas - I am UK based if that makes a difference.

I started using golfshot a month ago and it has really great features.  I have an Apple watch and it tracks my shots automatically including the distance and accuracy.  Price is pretty good at C$40 for the year.

I use Tag Heuer.  I use it with the Watch.  Works also w/phone.  The watch crown is used to do a visual flyover of the hole and to dial in the distance from you to any spot on the hole.  For the watch I prefer this one to the Grint and Golfshot.
