Are you obsessed with having 13 matching grips?

A few used clubs have not been changed yet but I use these Golf Pride Tour Wrap 2G's on my clubs and I like to have a red one on my wedge as I feel I have a better chance on not leaving it behind on/near a green with the bright color.  It's only happened once and it was returned but I don't want it to happen again.  In the "before times" I would take out the pin and place my extra clubs next to it but now the pin stays in so I've tried to place them between the cart and the hole so as not to leave anything.

No. I can’t.  I have midsize on my irons and wedges.  But I can’t stand midsize on my driver.

I usually have irons and wedges match. But woods rarely.  They can be 3 different ones sometimes.  Like right now.  My driver has a 360 round tour velvet on.  My 3 wood is a midsize tour velvet. My 3 hybrid is a Lamkin something.  I can’t even tell you what. But it feels nice.  Irons and wedges are ndmc multicompound midsize.  With 2 wraps.

Not obsessed. It depends on the grip - I could put the Lamkin ST+2 Hybrid Grip on all of them.

Driver and fairways can have and do have different grips (1 wrap)

Irons must all have the same grip (1 wrap)

3 specialty wedges are the same grip and can be different from irons and they are (1 wrap)

Do you insist on having matching grips throughout your bag? Do you immediately regrip any new club before you put it in play?

I definitely prefer having new grips in good condition and I like for them to be the same size, but I often have a hodgepodge of different grips on the clubs in my bag.

I just got different irons and the prior owner had installed SuperStroke grips on them. I didn't think I'd like them but I actually do. But for now they don't match any other clubs in my bag.

Given the choice I'd probably have MCC's on everything, but right now I have different colors on different clubs. I like the variety.

I've considered the idea of replacing all my grips with the exact same type and style just to reduce the chances that I'll keep trading clubs, but it's just not that important to me.

I always change the stock grip right away as I use corded grips because I sweat a lot during the summer especially.  I have standard Z-Grips on all clubs, my driver, 3 wood have Z-Grip aligns.

Surprisingly no despite having moderate OCD. This year I started down a path to find what grip I feel most comfortable with so ultimately I think they'll all match.

Right now I have TV Plus4's (some logo up, some down), TV Cord with with 2 full wraps and 3 extra bottom wraps, and MCC with 4 extra bottom wraps. And honestly I'm not sure which I prefer.

Always the same grips throughout for me but I build up my driver grip less. I prefer a smaller grip on my driver. 4 extra wraps under the right hand for everything except my driver. Only 2 on it.

Yep, I will even pull a grip and put my sonar wrap on before even trying a new club.

then if I dont like it I just pull and reinstall the other grip, and sell the club

Was enjoying the weather and cleaning my clubs on the porch.
Driver -Tour Velvet BCT (Was newish on the shaft I bought so haven’t changed, Ping Tour shaft has matching Lamkin)

Woods -3w has 360 Tour Velvet, 5w has Lamkin tour issue ACE 3 gen cord.
irons- Lamkin tour issue ACE 3 gen cord

Wedges - Tour Velvet grips (kept since I bought new)

Honestly kept the tour velvets because I bought em new and didn’t want to spend the money to swap them out. I notice it but it doesn’t stop me from hitting my shots

Has to be the same grip on all 13, without exception.  I do my best to measure butt diameter on all of my clubs to try and match up thickness by adding an extra layer of tape if needed.

It's a deal-breaker.

I am absolutely obsessed with having the same grips across all clubs and am traditionally a Lamkin grip guy!

But unfortunately with the shortage of Lamkin grips this year, the supply can’t keep up with my golf club addiction, Lol!

So right now I’ve got most with Lamkin Crossline Midsize, some with Super Stroke Midsize, and testing out Golf Pride Tour Velvet Jumbo on my Driver and 3-Wood…my OCD alarms are going wild!! 🤣🤣

I wouldn't use the word obsessed but use the word consistency.  I want all my club grips to be the same type and the same size (buildup) because of consistency.  I want the same feel with all my club grips so my standard grip has the same feel, no need for any manipulation.

My woods I don't, but I might try and have matching grips on all my irons and then matching grips on my wedges, but not sure if it really makes a difference or not. Wonder if there's some difference between grip materials though, like between softer grips like some of the Winns vs. normal rubber grips.

Yes except for a new wood that is adjustable. I want to make sure it’s set where I want first before installing a set matching grip.

I mucked around with different grips when I started playing but now its just standard size tour velvets on everything.  If I get new clubs they just get ordered with these.  Great grips, less expensive. As certain clubs wear through they are easy to replace.

I don’t mind having different grips as long as they’re the same texture and are built up the same way. Given how hard Tour Velvet BCTs are to find where I live, I’ve ended up with Crossline Full Cords on my woods, hybrid and wedges while my irons have Tour Velvet BSTs.

    • Sony Open Pics from January 11, 2022 Part 1
I was able to get out to the Sony Open today to take a few pics.  I guess due to Covid precautions they kept the spectators pretty far from the players.  Also due to camera restrictions they've put in place, I wasn't able to bring the big lens like I normally do. Hopefully they'll ease up on the ropes and I'll be able to get more pics tomorrow!
