Nice round! That's one goal of mine's in the next few years. I'm 60 now and my best round of 2021 was just 5 years off.

Come September 25th  I will have shot my age once!  I'll be 66 then...too bad I shot the 66 in 2011.  Drat!

Thought I might have another chance today when I make the turn at 2 under. Alas a smooth 41 on the back and settled for 75 😫

One of my buddies who’s dad shot his age frequently said he was going to shoot his age someday. He said he needed to live to be 103 though.

Unbelievable! Great playing my man, my Dad is turning 60 on the 20th so he might have a tough time lol, however he’s scratch with tour level short game so never say never!

That's my goal again this year...missed by one shot last year. I just turned 69 last week.

Earlier this month I turned 70.  On my birthday the boys were giving me grief about being the "old" man and then sent me out with two meat-eating young lions.  One of them was a club pro and the other a highly rated local amateur.  But what the heck, it's my birthday and I'm going to have a good time.  So I bogeyed the 18th to shoot 70 and beat both of the  young lions.  Yeah, it was just one round but how many of us actually  shoot our age on our birthday?  Take that, kids!

 

It was the 21st time I shot my age, the first when I was 65.

Yesterday, I played with a 70 year old Korean guy that walked up to me on first tee to ask if he could join. I said sure. On the third hole, his other 70 year old buddy walked on the course to join. After 6 holes, I knew the guy could play. He was 1 under and saved a few difficult pars. His buddy came to me and said "He likes to play for money. You look like you are scratch to 5 handicap. You think you could beat him?" I said, likely not right now because I haven't played in a month and only have played about 3-4 rounds in past year. Perhaps they were looking for a money game. 😜

 

At the turn he was 3 under.  While walking to the back nine the other guy in the group asked him what his record score was at the course we were playing. He said 8 under. What? Wow, I knew the guy could play. On the back nine, he got one birdie and three bogeys to card a 71 which is not his age, but he left a few strokes out there. Really impressive for 70 year old. 

 

I shot a 1 over 73 (with two 3 putts from 10 feet, doh!). However, I still don't think I would play that guy for money scratch without strokes. 😂

There was a guy in Florida who shot his age over a thousand times playing at 6088 yds from age 72-96.
