Bryson's style does not suit foursomes.  In four-ball though, he will be very formidable.  He'll be hitting last on every non-par 3 hole.  That's a massive advantage.

 

I think the plan all along for him is to play the two four-ball matches and his singles match.

It was poor when it happened in Paris, embarrassing from a European point of view. That it happened in Europe last time around, made it par for the course that it was going to happen the other way around this time.
