Why is JT playing over Morikawa? I don't have Golf Channel. Did Morikawa play well today?

Match 1: USA

Match 2: EU

Match 3: USA

Match 4: USA

 

Cantlay will play well in the 4th match and carry JT.

It is goofy to me when you split the best pairing from this morning. If it works great but if it doesn't he's opened himself up to justified criticism.

Great morning, a few slight surprises.

 

1. 3 - 1 seemed possible, but I was thinking more like 2 - 2

2. Way didn't expect McIlroy/Poulter to get spanked that badly

3. Thought there would be more wind - it was barely an issue. Maybe it'll pick up in the afternoon.

 

Parenthetically, Spieth - just absolutely wow. Who does that? Close to the shot of the year. Only way it could have been even more exciting would have been for him to actually fall in the lake.

They're playing a different game.  4-ball is completely different in every way.

We can all agree that golf can be psychological and to me the mojo those two have, regardless of game, is why I say so splitting them is wrong. I hope it works out.

Everyone needs to relax. If these were the pairing for alt shot I'd be worried, but I think we'll be in for a pleasant surprise in 4ball. Just relax and watch.
