Outfits today -

1) US hoodies look really uncomfortable to play golf in;

2) euros brown striped shirts with gray pants, just hard to look at.

Anyone know what the deal is with Euro alternate color scheme? Noticed it in the old Seve clips. Special meaning or just random tradition?

Man it would drive me crazy to have to wear a hoodie when I golf, particularly in the wind. I can't understand why the golf clothing people are pushing this a fashion choice for golf. No function to it and it can only be bad.

Yes, but it looks so gangsta! 🤡

I like JT a lot, but those F bombs are bit unnecessary.

I like Rory and Patrick Reed exchange from a few years ago. Rory drained a long putt and went nuts. PR countered with his own putt and shake his finger. Then, they immediately hug it out. Great sportsmanship and showmanship.

News flash most people drop F bombs in real life. Most of all kids, don't want to hear "but the kids". Why do get so bent out of shape over a word when it isn't directed at anyone specifically? If it bothers you that much turn to the church channel

Not sure when acting like a complete doosh became cool. The crowd was an embarrassment.

Bryson putting his putter in the hole as to say “inside the leather” was probably the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen in pro golf. No one owes you a putt plus your cheater putter is twice as long as a regulation putter along with your fat grip that’s 3 feet long. What a tool.

When Twitter, Instagram and TikTok were invented.

Bryson working on long drives so when they ban his cheater putter (great phrase), he can still 3 putt for par.

They looked bad aesthetically but at least not cumbersome to play in the US hoodies. My guess is that hoodies are for merchandising reasons.

Call me crazy, but I think we should send Bryson out against Rahm and let him drive Rahm nuts. Bryson is gonna do stupid crap, take forever, and get under Rahm's skin early. If we even get a tie out of Rahm that's mission accomplished.

You still have no clue how the Ryder Cup works. You should probably find out before posting how it should be done.

Amazing what the US can do when Tiger and Phil don’t stink up the joint

Thank you for saying that, I was going to post something similar.  Tiger, Phil, and the previous generation that routinely got their asses handed to them by Europeans every two years were great individual players.  You just got the feeling they really weren’t into team play, and it brought the entire team down emotionally.  When you are looking up to these guys as leaders and they play like doo doo, bicker and generally don’t get along and really don’t support each other, it’s hard to win no matter how much you pretend you want to.  I get the same feeling about Brooks. In this format it’s better to have a great team than a few great individuals.

that being said, I’d take Phil and Tigers majors over Sergios record 100 times out of 100. I think having new blood was the right approach, good job by Stricker.

Day 2 takeaways

- Koepka should have been given relief

- Morikawa is probably the best player in the field this week ...nearly every time they go to him live hes nailing a drive, stiffing an iron, or holing a clutch putt

- I knew Lowry would make that putt on 18, he's clutch too. And I like watching how he plays the game with his flighted iron shots. Not many do that any more, it's like a lost art

- Dechambeau will win over many fans this week

- Rory is not the most talented player in the field any more. Rahm is, and others are filling up the "checks all the boxes" category too. Rory's best days are behind him, and he's playing like he knows it.

- US will most likely win ...stricker deserves some credit, but really this is the deepest Ryder cup team I can recall seeing.

- whistling straits is visually stunning but it's less difficult than it looks ...the greens are large and for the most part not too severe

- europe is at serious risk of losing by an historic margin since they expanded the team from UK to all of Europe. I don't think this says anything about future of European golf, it's bright. This is just a uniquely deep US team this year.

Morikawa has played great ... but have you watched Rahm?

If Rahm wasn’t playing, this would be 13-3 going into singles.  Rahm has been the best player of the 24.

Dude ... captains can't pick the match ups. They make up a list and turn it in. They have no idea what the other captain's list look like. Again, learn the rules before you try telling the captains how to do their jobs. Read the rules. Ya know, learn some reading comprehension. And how to use commas.

Sorry my mistake. I had a different thought in my mind and after rereading it, doesn't make as much sense.

I think Hovland could beat him, Collin was kinda crappy on the front nine looked gassed. Then he hit the NOS and was amazing but in this incoherent rambling I’m saying there’s a chance.

LOL, the same Hovland who has 0.5 points after 4 matches. If it is available for betting, I am putting $20 on Collin.

Oddly enough, TW had his best RC ever (3-1) in the worst year of his professional career, 2010.

I don’t think TW didn’t care. He always wants to win and hates losing. His singles record is excellent. And it’s not match play. He kills at match play tournaments.

He just plays bad in a partner situation.

The most likely reasons probably have something to do with him being the best on his own.

Ha. Let's hear your assessment of who has outplayed Collin on the US side?   DJ his playing  partner who Collin bailed out numerous times with his putter?

Actually, yes. Over the course of two days DJ has contributed more than Collin.

Collin is playing well but not the best out there.

Tee to green, Hovland killed it today. Unfortunately, he couldn't make a putt. Which, in pro golf, means you suck.
