Because a) sponsorships are not needed and b) no hat made like it for usa team. Would be hilarious if day 3, they all had USA hats like bryson wears. LOL

That’s weird because a) talking about hat model and not sponsors and b) he is the only modern player without his trademark hat in the ryder cup (talking about stewart and parnevik, obviously)

In the heat of the competition, things like this can happen. I can imagine this might ruffle some feathers on both sides. Butch Harmon called it classless. I think it adds some spice to the Sunday matches. 😂🤣😂

They should remove the rules of gimmies in the ryder cup imho, so some players will stop whine and just finish the putts

I must say, Strickler is almost the ideal RC captain. His understanding of strategy, tactics, and psychology has just been superlative. Yes, he had some great people to work with, but he way maximized their effectiveness. Kudos to Steve.

Seriously? This is a man who picked Daniel Berger. Patrick Reed would've been better, even if he was still on an intravenous drip.

To me, all the players should always have it in their minds that will have to hole out every putt. The gimme is always used as gamesmanship to needle a player, but can sometimes not giving a gimme can work in player's favor and work against a player. In this case, I think Bryson will have the last laugh. Like him or not Bryson is highly entertaining. 417 yard drive on hole #5 with that insane line, stuffs a 72 yard pitch to 5 feet then drains the putt for each. Video game stuff. 😂

The results so far kind of mirrors golf seen globally this year. There is Rahm and there are americans.  Not only Europeans but also top players around the world seem to have underperformed, save the US players. For some reason.

Yeah, Rory has gone from 4 to 15 in 2021.

Hatton has gone from 10 to 19.

Fitzpatrick has gone from 16 to 27.

Fleetwood has gone from 17 to 36.

Wiesberger has gone from 40 to 63.

Justine Reed is that you? Welcome to WRX.

Reed couldn't even break 80 playing with Tiger in 2018 in Paris. Reed has not won a team match in any international competition w/o Jordan Spieth as his partner. Berger already has. Reed w/o his Linus blanket Spieth is 0-7 in the RC and PC competitions in fourball and foursomes. So Reed is 0-5 in the 2018/2019 RC and PC in team competitions. Let that sink in. To say nothing of him being a miserable toxic a'hole when he doesn't get his way. So how would Reed have been better this week? Easy answer. He wouldn't be.

Might have helped the European team by giving away points….I miss tiger and Phil as a euro fan 😉

The players from both sides need to suck it up and quit whining about not conceded (supposed gimmie) putts. Good article on this. Everybody misses short putts under pressure.

I don’t see how Bryson could genuinely be upset over this...

maybe he is messing around but that is clearly not a tap in/automatic gimmie lol

if it was such a gimmie, why is he grinding over it like it’s a 8 footer?

Probably flashing back to all the short putts he missed when he lost to Patrick Cantlay in the playoff at the BMW event.

Sergio v DCB could be a little fractious. Rory out first is insane. He is playing garbage and will be lucky to get past 14th.

It indeed makes sense, he will be the first to finish (losing of course) so he can go back to Florida playing Playstation, he will just send a smiling cardboard to attend the closing cerimony.

Rory out first is strategically sensible - Euros need so many wins the only chance is if Rory gets an early win and inspires the rest of the team. If Rory goes out 8th and loses then the Euros have definitely lost.

I think there was a gentlemen's agreement (read it somewhere) where in the rubber would be given.

Because the only hats being worn are the branded RyderCup ones as part of the uniform. They only made baseball caps... So, he's hatless because they didn't make a skullcap in rydercup fashion, and cannot wear anything else otherwise it would not be part of the uniform. Not hard.

These are corporatized  entities  competing -no "country" identity is involved except for false ideolgies.

Even though people move you still identify with your “home”. I’ve lived in nyc for 21 years moving from Phoenix Arizona and still consider myself a Phoenician. I know those are cities not countries haha

Because he has a routine and does the same routine for almost every putt?

    • APPLY NOW: L.A.B. Golf MEZZ.1 Putter (Early Access) Member Testing! 10 Testers Needed!
L.A.B. Golf is choosing ten GolfWRX members to receive their MEZZ.1 putter early and put their brand new product to the test before reporting back to the community about what they see. The selected testers will be one of the first to experience the MEZZ.1 from L.A.B. GOLF, their newest Lie Angle Balanced design, ahead of it's January 2022 launch!

About The L.A.B. Golf Mezz.1 Putter
MEZZ.1 is our new mid-mallet putter that’s fully CNC machined from a billet of 6061 aircraft aluminum (body) and 303 stainless steel (midsection) to create our best-feeling — and we think best looking — putter to date. It includes 10 weights (eight on the bottom, two on the sides) that allow us to individually build each putter to a golfer’s exact specifications.

      How To Apply
In a post below, answer the following questions.

      1. City, State?
      2. Handicap?
      3. What is your current putter?
      4. Have you ever used a L.A.B. Golf putter?
      5. Why do you want to review the MEAZZ.1 putter?
      6. Do you agree to participate in an ongoing testing thread, posting reviews and photos?

That's it! @labgolf and GolfWRX will choose the testers in about 2 weeks! This testing event is for good-standing members in the USA only!
