Feherty's comments about how much the Ryder Cup meant to Europeans was an eye opener for me. Unless he was just being over dramatic it apparently means quite a bit more for stature and career success. Interesting

Just look at what Rory just said in the interview. Even after some Majors, that is the only thing that makes him cry and the RC is the biggest thing for him

And I'm not sure if everyone recalls - but when Rory was asked about playing in his first RC prior to the event taking place, he said something along the lines of "I don't really see what the big deal is about it."

 

I think it only took one participation to completely change his outlook on it.

The second I saw him at the US Amateur in the Hogan, I instantly hated him...maybe it had something to do with the SMU image as well....dunno....but I really think he ought to think about making the switch.....would be the perfect time to do so.
