Best golf shoes 2021

What has everyone found to be their favorite shoe this year?

I am pretty much a full convert to True Linkswear now.

I wear the knit 2 when warm and dry, the new sport lux  if wet, so comfortable and light, great traction for spikeless.

Wore FootJoys for 25 years but the last few pair seemed to be narrow so I switched to these.

It wasn't new for this year, but I'm still only wearing the Adidas Tour 360 SL. Best combo of spikeless comfort (with the boost tech) and waterproof capabilities, and much better looking than the Codechaos and ZG line in my opinion.

They had a 50% off sale late last year and ended up buying myself two more pair so I won't run out anytime soon.

This year I was all about Adidas.  I bought a couple of other shoes, but my top 3 is completely Adidas.

#3: ZG21.  Functionally great.  Not very breathable and not as comfortable as others.  Mostly only used for those really rainy days.

#2: Solarthon.  The UltraBoost midsole is super comfortable and traction is decent.  Loses some points because the waterproofing is not great and the weird tongue.  It's just a bunch on unnecessary material that could have been trimmed down to make the shoe much more breathable.  Who needs a pocket in the tongue?  Mostly only used for those really dry days.

#1: CodeChaos 21.  The Boost is solid.  Not quite as comfy at the Solarthon, but they have been my go to shoe lately.  Great grip, great waterproofing, great comfort.  I get that many think they are ugly, but I personally like the look of them.

Really love the Asics Gel-Course Glide I got for dry rounds.  I think I'll probably pick up the Gel-Course Duo BOA for wet rounds in the future.

I've moved on from Puma.  This years shoes aren't quite as good as last years and got narrower.  I've actually taken a shine to New Balance for weight and comfort, and Adidas for look.  Ecco is also very solid and have no complaints there either.

I've been wearing the FootJoy TourX all year, have had no reason to wear any of my other golf shoes and right now honestly don't think I could find a better shoe for my feet.

I wasn’t a fan of the looks but the new code chaos is awesome. I play in the morning and for a spike less show they have  really good traction and keeps my feet dry. And they are super comfortable.

The Gel Course Glides are incredibly comfortable. That said, the tongue is woefully narrow and for me slides all over the place (rather than staying centered). Wish they'd change that.

They are definitely NOT for wet conditions.

My Footjoy TourX shoes are my go-to pair when I need comfort and performance. I have a couple of pair of the FJ Traditions too, which are comfy for days I don't care as much about traction.

Super surprised that there's no love here for Squairz. They add distance ... and it's proven, with SCIENCE. 🤣🤣

Footjoy Dry Joy Premiers for me have been amazing

Seconded.  They're the best of both worlds, Dry Joy comfort with Icon/Classics styling.

I've a couple of pairs of True's as well, one Lux Pro and one Knit.  Great shoes, but they don't fit me quite as well as the FJ's.  I get blisters on the back of my heel from them if I go a long time not wearing them.

Looking for more of a traditional looking shoe. The FJ Traditions range suits my eye: and I know FJ sizings / last shape generally fits my feet.

Just concerned (With the sponge sole) they may be more of a trainer type / soft feeling shoe. Where I’m looking for more of a ‘firmer’ / old skool Dryjoys Tour type feel….

Anyone ?

hard to argue Warrick, True is tough to beat.  You got me all interested in the Sport Lux and it looks like they aren’t shipping until mid-October, but I’ve put an order in regardless.  Already have 2 pair of the knits!

    • APPLY NOW: L.A.B. Golf MEZZ.1 Putter (Early Access) Member Testing! 10 Testers Needed!
L.A.B. Golf is choosing ten GolfWRX members to receive their MEZZ.1 putter early and put their brand new product to the test before reporting back to the community about what they see. The selected testers will be one of the first to experience the MEZZ.1 from L.A.B. GOLF, their newest Lie Angle Balanced design, ahead of it's January 2022 launch!

About The L.A.B. Golf Mezz.1 Putter
MEZZ.1 is our new mid-mallet putter that’s fully CNC machined from a billet of 6061 aircraft aluminum (body) and 303 stainless steel (midsection) to create our best-feeling — and we think best looking — putter to date. It includes 10 weights (eight on the bottom, two on the sides) that allow us to individually build each putter to a golfer’s exact specifications.

      How To Apply
In a post below, answer the following questions.

      1. City, State?
      2. Handicap?
      3. What is your current putter?
      4. Have you ever used a L.A.B. Golf putter?
      5. Why do you want to review the MEAZZ.1 putter?
      6. Do you agree to participate in an ongoing testing thread, posting reviews and photos?

That's it! @labgolf and GolfWRX will choose the testers in about 2 weeks! This testing event is for good-standing members in the USA only!
