2021 Titleist T100 - W Set Gap Wedge

Has anyone ordered the set gap wedge and spent time with it?  Thoughts on how this compares with a traditional Vokey 50/52 degree?

 

I personally only use gap wedge for full shots.  Curious if the head tech + Vokey inspired sole is worth giving a try this time.

I hit it in my fitting with my irons.  Felt just like the PW in regards to sole.  I didn't get the T100 GW and decided to stick with my SM8 GW, only due to the fact that I thought it looked a little strange.  Has kind of an odd shape to it, even more so than the PW (which looks a little weird to me, along with the 6 iron).  Not terrible, but I already had the SM8 and decided to stick with that.  If your only using for full shots and don't already have a GW you like, i think its a great club.  Looks just like the PW

May not be what you’re looking for. But I’ve asked the same question.  The consensus seemed to be if you’re taking more full shots, then get the GW matched to the set.

Interesting - I thought the PW looked a little odd too in the store.  It had plastic on it so I chalked it up to that.  Thanks

Looks aside, if you want a little more forgiveness and/or play primarily full shots the gap set gap wedge is a good choice.  For most players, it will launch a little higher and spin a little less than the Vokey.  If you like to flight your gap wedge, play partial shots or simply need/want more spin, the Vokey is will give you more versatility.

for me the Gap wedge is the best club in the set.  really cuts through the turf well.  works great on punch or half shots.  just a fantastic club.  i'd buy it.

I happened to pick it up for some forgiveness/accuracy in the 100-110 distance. First off, i really like the look of the T100/T100S GW. i feel certain brands/models screw up the GW look but i feel titleist got it right. I felt like a special wedge (SM8, etc) gives me great control on good hits but mishits can leave me short, quick. My GW are typically full shots for me.  
 

You can tell which one is the 9i at address vs the 50. The face view has the 9i at the bottom, then the PW, and the GW at the very top.

I have the ‘19 version of the T100-S and have the gap wedge. I really like it. Then again, it’s the same loft as a PW from when I was a kid playing golf so I should like it. LOL
