Every model is just SO SICK, jeez man you'd think they would just release a small line of the PLD. Just Anser and a couple mallets would be great.

I find it so maddening that PING does not make these easily available to the public.

If they made a PLD of the ZB, I'd buy it asap.

1300.00 and it can be yours. Just need to do the PLD fitting with a ping account. They will custom fit you from the factory  Jeff is amazing and they go above and beyond

Indeed. I don't get it. Presumably their objective as a company is to make money. They'd sell a ton of these yet they don't make them available to the masses. 🤔

You can order any one you like...they are $1250 each plus tax.

Why doesn't Ping company produce at least one naked top putter ? Remember, the company was founded on putter models with plain tops; no site lines. flange lines, or site dots.

Way cheaper then buying a Scotty ct and better looking putters too

Clearly, people are clamoring for a retail line of PLD putters like the previous retail PLD releases (like the Tyne) - somewhere in the $400-500 range for a solid milled putter with minimal extraneous stuff.

 

I'm guessing Ping's marketing people don't think they'll sell? That the general public will just see it as a plain Ping putter that's $350 more expensive than the plain Ping putters that they remember? I try to keep in mind that Golfwrx is not the average person browsing the putter rack at Golf Galaxy.

I mean, previous ping milled putters didn't exactly set the world on fire.

 

Remember the redwoods?  They were good putters but ping clearly missed the mark with them.

 

Would an expanded pld retail line be better? I think so. But they need to feel good and look good - the pld tyne feels like absolute garbage.

They had two machinists making the putters and then one retired. With one machinist now, the wait time is about 2 months.

 

As a previous owner of one, they are well worth it. I only sold mine to get a different head and weight. By the time I have it in hand and actually play with it it will be 2022.

It's the same argument of "bring back the eye2". Some people will go nuts for it, but not enough to make it worth Ping's efforts.
