Callaway Apex Pro 21 - Disappointing Options for Shafts

Is anyone else disappointed with the lack of options to choose from for shaft options in the Callaway Apex Pro 21s?

I am in-between buying the Apex Pro 21's, T100's, and Miura CB-301's. Plenty of options for shaft choice in both Titleist & Miura and then with Callaway I feel like I'm choosing between only a couple options (almost no options for stiff shafts in True Temper, limited KBS/Project X options, no Nippon etc..) Is this due to supply shortages or has Callaway decided to limit their offerings?

Supply issues.

You can typically get the full range from TT, PX, Nippon, KBS, etc but Callaway is only listing what is currently available.

I wonder how/why Titleist is able to secure shafts and Callaway wasn't/isn't. Lead times for Titleist is only 6 weeks compared to Callaway is still asking 3-4 weeks. Personally, I would wait 2 more weeks to get the shaft I wanted..

I think you can still order the shaft you want through different retailers. For example, if you go to Carl's golf land, I think they still have different shaft options for Apex Pro. However, I can't guarantee how long it would take.... This is certainly not a good time to buy a new golf club... Well, I also looked into new tech irons and ended up buying a set from 2012 hahaha. Since my current set was out in 2008, I would say I still upgraded...

Definitely supply issues.  I ordered DG 120 tour issue s400 shafts when they were available.  I was curious about how fast stuff was moving, so I constructed the clubs again on the Cally website 4 days after I ordered and they weren’t an option anymore. Callaway typically has the best options on iron shafts, and none are up charges like you find with Titleist, TM, etc….

You can still order any shaft, but who knows when you’ll get it. I think it’s good business for Callaway to only list what’s actually available now. And I’m no fan of anything Callaway but it’s an honest business decision to be up front.

Agree with being honest up front.  When ordering I want to know where I stand from a delivery standpoint -vs- pushing the delivery date out numerous time.

In April:

> One friend ordered Titleist T200’s and quoted 4 weeks for delivery.  Took 2.5 months to get his irons.

> One friend ordered Ping G425 irons and quoted 3 weeks for delivery.  Took 3.5 months to get his irons.

A slight pushout is understood but being months late is unacceptable (over a 50% error rate).

The company I work for is very proactive in working with suppliers to get an accurate reading on the industry so we in return can commit to our customers a reliable delivery date for merchandise.  This approach works during Covid times and I’m not seeing this approach from allot of golf companies.
