In addition to what has been mentioned above, here are some other non-mainstream brands that make technical 5 pocket pants: Vuori, Myles Apparel, Devereux, Bearbottom, Bluffworks, Tasc Performance, Western Rise, Swet Tailor, Olivers, Willy California. (various price points here, one or two may only have chino style)

 

Regarding those BR Travelers, those are more cotton than technical, so if it's above the mid-50s you may get hot in them.

i have a grey and a coyote-brown pair. these are more stretchy slim then true skinny for me. Not sure what you would consider "jeansey" OP, but the cut is definitely for jeans but the materials aren't. I've worn both on course a few times and my only regret is i wish i bought more pairs. They were cheap at the time... less than $20 each but they didn't have any more colors in the size i needed

FWIW, and this is only one man's experience, I found the J Crew pants to be wooshy. But that was maybe 3 years ago and I have not tried a newer iteration.
