What is your favorite draw driver and why?

I hit the sim max2 draw driver last week and I was impressed with the dispersion but the distance was too short. Tell me what you are using and why if you don't mind.

I have the Callaway Big Bertha B21 driver and love it.   Sounds great, solid distance and mis hits are comparable in distance to centered strikes. Most consistent driver I have ever had, better than Callaway Fusion & Ping G400 Max.

If you want a draw driver with good distance then the Ping 425 SFT is the one. I had it and it definitely has a draw bias almost impossible to hit a slice or cut shot.

I heard both of those drivers are good drivers. The B21 gets good ratings and of course the ping drivers always get good ratings. Anyone hit the mizuno st-x driver?

So I just bought an M6 d type, so that should be cool. I was actually thinking about something completely different (Honma XP-1) and while doing some looking, it popped up for a price too good to be true. 🤣

<edit> the Honma was listed for $150 + shipping and I got an "as new" M6 D for $148 shipped. How can you say no to that? I can use my M3 shaft, too.

I heard the RadSpeed XD was excellent also. I guess I need to try a few more to see what is right for me. Anybody have feedback on the Mizuno ST-X Driver?

G410 Plus, weight in draw. It's forgiving, goes far and lately goes where I want it.

M4 D type.  Used it for a couple years and still have it in backup.  Absolutely a great driver.

Second the Mavrik max. Only thing I didn’t like about it was the overall weight feeling on the lighter side.

A guy in our golf group just picked up a SIM2 D, hit a few with it and turned my baby fade into straight rockets. My Ping G 400 is getting nervous...... lol.

G425SFT or original SIM Max D for specific draw drivers.  They look neutral at address but work very well as intended.  The spin on the draw drivers does tend to be on the higher side which can impact distance.  For a non-draw specific driver that controls spin reasonable well, the Epic Speed is great.  I've hit most of the major drivers on the market this year and the Speed was the easiest for me to draw.  Looks and feels great too.

I have struggled with the last two Ping drivers since G400 to turn them over. I had face angle measured on my 410 and 425 and they were 5 and 6 degrees open in "standard"setting. The Cobra actually sits 1 open but WAY better. They only move 10 grams to the heel which for me is perfect.

I'm playing the 425 Max and it's left..left and more left.   I'd love to hit a cut with it.   Feels almost closed at address.

My problem with the sim max 2 draw was the spin was too high. I may have to try the epic speed as RobS mentioned the spin was reasonable.

Srixon ZX5 has won a spot in my bag. Best combination of distance and forgiveness I have found in a long time

My previous driver was Ping G400 Max w Tour AD DI shaft which I enjoyed and has it as a back up now.

 

One day I tried out on outdoor driving range TM fitting session and the fitter got me on TM SIM 2 MAX  D 10.5'.

 

First I was skeptical since it was going straight left.

 

He then put in a Ventus Black Velocore shaft and turned down the loft all the way down to open the face to lower the back spin.

 

It has become a point and shoot driver for me and enjoying a better driving season with it.

 

If anyone hits blocked shots, this is it.

I just got confirmation that my new M6 D gets here tomorrow. I might get a small bucket done and put it in the bag for Friday. I'm stoked.

Mavrik and Mavrik Max are for me the best drivers i've ever hit. Very forgiving and basically perfect driver feel, a really nice crisp thwack. And paired with a low launch shaft they can put up some pretty good spin numbers

Titleist 905S 9.5 degree
