Congratulations to everyone who has read this thread and NOT commented on the "puring".  We don't need another thread on that!

Thanks for that. Deepest apologies for not having read every post in every thread for the last few years. Been busy. Promise to get better.

Doesn't really matter to me because I tend to focus on the club's alignment and the ball at the address. I never notice if the shaft's logo is up or down. Heck I haven't removed some shaft labels yet. Here's my 58* that I had bought back in March. I never noticed it until someone asked me WTH I'm doing just recently so I took this picture.

I really can’t fathom anyone caring about this. It’s ridiculous.

Pretty sure that puts you in the minority unfortunately. Not only do the pickier people care about it, as well as a vast majority of pros, but the industry as a whole pretty much does it as standard practice because it tends to be a default preference for most when they have one. Either people don't care, so it can go wherever, or they do and tend to prefer it down. Nothing really hard to fathom about which way it's going to go by default then. Several shaft lines have even incorporated graphic designs that are orientation agnostic for adjustable hosels. Big money in visual psychology and not pissing people off. 😅

Once you get it adjusted to where you want it, then it is a matter of time (if you can do it yourself) or $ if you have to pay someone to do it; but you can have the shaft removed and reinserted in the adjusted adapter with the label down.  This, of course, assumes you don't continue to make adjustments, in that case it is clearly a moot point.

All my shafts is FLO tested for weak and strong, where logos ends "somewhere down under" where its not visible at address. This was also the way most of my customers wanted it to be.
For steel shafts, logos / labels was never added at all on those models who had none from the factory, (typical Dynamic Gold and RIFLE FCM).

Grips on the other hand is in my bag with Logos up, but some wants them to be logos down like the shafts. I never liked shafts with lots of decor, and the worse ive seen in that end was Project X PXI.
A silly good shaft, but the logos and decor could not be worse than that.

IMO, "less is better" so the best looking shaft in my bag is the one in my 5W, a Grafalloy TOUR with a small logo down, so all i see is a black mate shaft without decors or logos, thats my ideal here.

I could care less, but always install logo up. Both grips and shaft. I never look at them when addressing a ball anyway. I am looking at club alignment only.

My 3 wood and driver are both not logo up anymore because I have changed hosel positions now. They are in between and I don't really even notice.

As far as puring on an adjustable hosel club. If you pure it, then decide to change hosel positions,  there goes your $40 or whatever you paid for the service.

I’m not too fused about it, but you are right it does make it difficult for someone who does mind.

it’s surprising that the marketeers haven’t come up with a funky design which looks good whatever the setting.

Regarding adjustable hosels and shaft orientation Maltby has what seems to me to be a rather clever solution to the problem.  My KE4 driver has a hosel adapter that is loose on each end and allows any shaft alignment with any loft or lie setting.

Even though the head is really cheap I like it a lot!  It is easily as good or better then any of the OEM heads that I have used in the past.

I believe Callaway does allow you to this. Unfortunately I've never gotten along well with their drivers. Is this correct Callaway fans?

The fourth generation Diamana shafts were really good about this actually in that the "DIAMANA" part of the graphic is twisted/rifled so it is basically the same in all orientations.

This is one I always get a chuckle out of.  Have played with some that are even bothered that someone else's clubs have the logo up.  I never pay any attention to the shaft logo.  My attention is on the clubface.  Have been flowing my shafts for a couple of years now, so that really cancels out where the logo is at.

I’m not sure it quite fits the funky design part, but at least they made the effort.
