Got new sticks, didnt hit a single solid shot this weekend

Previously i had swapped between two sets of MP20 MBs, one with DGS300 and one with PX LZ 6.0.  Both were bent 1 degree flat and i hit them just fine as far as solid.  I did start pushing them a touch right and divots started thin on the rear entry point so i figured they were too flat.

Purchased new T100 set with the stock AMT shaft and standard lie.  I like the idea of the ascending weight cause i do struggle to hit long irons high enough.  I didnt hit a single iron shot solid this weekend.  hit 1 of 4 par three greens in reg yesterday.  just absolutely horrible.  of course, i wasnt fitted.

I did get new vokeys as well and went standard lie with them.  i hit them pretty well, just quite a bit lower than i'm used to coming from sm7 bent a degree flat.

any insight?

and its just so perplexing to me as i'm around a 1 handicap.  now thats definitely not due to ball striking but my wedge play and putting is the best part of my game.  although, i've played blades for the last couple years and gotten along just fine.  just so confused.  couldnt even hit a knockdown pw or knowdown 9 iron solid, which is normally a strong point in my game

It can happen... like most wrxers I've got 20 old sets that I rotate through with most flavours of stiff shafts, NH, Recoil, DG, PX etc., and I've tried a load of experiments with lies, back weighting, grip sizes etc.

I've stopped club ho ing so much because I came to the conclusion, being very average height etc. that I'm not that fussy or sensitive to club specs... EXCEPT for a set of stiff steelfibres that I absolutely could not hit for toffee. Everything miles off the toe.

Something about the weighting (more than the flex / cpm) just put me out of sync completely. If you can bear to do it with an expensive new club you've at least got to try your normal shaft inserted into your new 7 iron as a sanity check.

Funny, I'm in the exact same boat.  Play MP20 MB's and tried out the T100 at the store... absolutely could not hit them to save my life.  Something about the weighting... I just couldn't make it work.  Same thing with the ZX7's... but the P790's I couldn't miss with.

Drives me insane.  im just going to go get my MBs back and forget it.

I’d check swingweight. Titleist tend to be lighter and your MBs may be higher on the SW scale.

$100 says they are not weighted correctly for you. Try reweighting with lead tape and see what happens. Just trying clubs without checking the weighting is like trying milk in the fridge without checking the date! Sometimes it leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

yes sir.  the difference between the mizunos i was playing and the new t100 were 2.5 degrees.  i had them bent to the same specs as the mizuno, hit two to three balls with each club after being bent and all balls were center contact.  huge difference.  course that was off of a mat indoors so whatever but i'm sure it will be  so much better next round

I purchased a new set of T100's in May and could not order a set with PX shafts so I found a new set on eBay with the AMT S300. Seriously some of the worse golf I ever played and was chunking shots, casting my wrists and just didn't get along with those irons for a solid month. I was coming from 716 AP2's with PX 6.0's. I ended up reshafting the T100's with PX5.5's with Super Stroke Black S-Tech grips and swing weighted to D0. My goodness did those heads come to life and I have been playng some really good golf. I have been using the ProV1x LD with my irons and gained 1 full club and have been throwing darts at the pins under 150 yards.
