Poor transition sequence, lower body rotation shutdown

Anyone suffer from a poor transition sequence (not letting the rotation happen from the ground up with the hands and club last to move), resulting in lower body rotation shutting down and just slapping at the ball with no face control?  Ideas how to improve?  TIA.

You're on the right track. Starting from the ground up takes the slack out, it's like twirling a ball on a string. If there's slack in the string the ball won't twirl. 

 

The golf swing is about creating energy in the backswing and releasing the energy in the downswing. Dropping the arms, pulling the left arm, speeding up the arms or casting creates slack which is why your swing feels crappy.

 

This video is only 1.04 minutes but it's the best explanation I've ever seen. At about 50 seconds in he talks about the arms and hands.

Be careful. Lack of rotation is usually an effect, not a cause. Most of the time, it's an open clubface that causes poor sequencing. You "stall" out to let the clubface catch up to your body, because if you used rotation properly, you'd shank it or hit it 20 yards right. Always start with the clubface, especially when the club is parallel to the ground before impact

This. I don't think a swing exists that is perfect aside from a lack of rotation, there is always something there causing it.
