Adjusting loft and lie on cast wedges?

I got a new Callaway Full Toe wedge 60 degrees, and wondering how much I can adjust the lie angle before it is at risk of breaking?  I know traditional cast irons are difficult to adjust, but nowadays so many premier wedges are cast, Vokeys and such... so... are cast wedges more "adjustable" than their comparable cast irons?

I general, we can adjust most clubs +/- 2* in all directions, and wedges is no exception to that.
Some think that wedges can be adjusted even more due to its longer hosel, but thats not the case.
Bending should take place with the bending bar as low we can get on the hosel, so as long as the hosel is longer than the mouth of the bending bar, we can go +/- 2* in all directions.

Whats your plan here for adjustment?

I'm switching from a Vokey SM8 to a Full Toe, so I'm not sure if the standard lie angles for these two are the same to begin with.  I had already adjusted the SM8 about 2 degrees flat vs. its standard.  That's why I'm trying to get a sense here as I feel like I'm kinda pushing the limits of cast wedges.

Standard lie is 64* for both, but what the actual head is...we never knows before we measure it.
If 2* flat cant make it, consider going a tad shorter than standard, or ask the place who does your club making if they are willing to try to go further than 2* flat if thats needed.

For what it is worth, I note that the customs program allows you to specify the lie plus or minus 3 degrees. I assume that they are bending these and don't have custom heads.

Cast clubs from carbon steel can withstand a bigger bend than those made from a hard metal like 17-4 stainless.  I suspect the chrome would crack before a cast carbon wedge would break from bending

Thanks all.  I got the Callaway full toe bent 2.5 degrees with no problem at the fitter.  Good to know that even cast wedges have some tolerance on angles.

Because lie has such a major effect with wedges most are made to be adjusted considerably.  Cast or forged.  But it really depends on the manufacturer.  I personally don't believe and major wedge manufacturer would make a wedge that could only be adjusted 2º.

Any club maker that has made his bones will be able to tell if a wedge is easily adjusted or not when he goes to adjust it.
