It's Not a U.S. Issue, it's these stars that have underperformed

The dismal performance of the U.S. team over the past 20 years is not a U.S. issue.  It's an issue of the following individuals not stepping up to perform for their team & country.  I don't know why they've been terrible.

Tiger: 13-21-3 (and he got to choose his partners)

Phil: 18-22-7

Furyk: 10-20-4

Bubba Watson: 4-10-0

Curtis Strange: 6-12-2

Mark O'Meara 4-9-1  (self proclaimed as one of golf's greatest)

Combined record: 55-94-17

Stricker was 3-7-1.  I don't want any of these underperformers as captain, on television, or any where near the team. Old say, when you su*k, you su#k.

Stricker is a nice guy an all but why he was chosen as captain is a mystery to me. But with so many having losing records it limits the choices I suppose. Ha.

How would you like it if your wife suddenly walked into a room and summed up your entire relationship as "not stepping up" based on 3-4 days of performance every other year?

They already do this, we’re just dumb enough to believe they don’t.

You could be a little off or your partner could be as well, which makes the difference in an 18 hole match.  I will say that Tiger’s record is surprising, cause in his career, he was always the “best” player and made few mistakes.

There are no points for proximity to the hole.  And I never get lift, clean and place.

We pick them based on stroke play performance———-/ to play in a match play event.  There’s the issue.  Europe chose several folks based on past match play performance.  And they always do this.  And they win.  ThAt and putting. We talk all about length.  And I just palm my face. Every damn time. What wins ?  Putting.  Putting. Putting.

Why is Sergio been so good then because his putting sucks. Ballstriking by nit handing the other team holes and keeping pressure on gets it done. Makes the other team press and get out of their game.

That’s my point. His putting doesnt suck in match play.  You have to forget normal play.  Pick the guy who understands the game you’re about to play.

The reason he made a bunch of points is this foursome format where someone else is capitalizing on his ballstriking where he doesn't piss away his good approach shots. Without even looking at it I would bet Foursome is his best record and his singles record is probably his worst. Four ball will allow him a lot of times to putt aggressively vs the defensive putting he normally does when he has to worry about the next putt.

Watching the highlights recap it is a lot of Sergio hitting iron shot Rahm making the putt today.

Makes sense. But even so. Doesn’t a “ Sergio “ need a player to putt ?   As in our DJ needs a putter.  Which is why I think “NA and Reed like” players are so valuable .

American players=head cases and self absorbed

European players=actually enjoy everything that the Ryder Cup is and team play and whether they win or lose always get s*** faced after

As far as the records indicated above…all facts and we all want to love the top American players but at the end of the day some one them make you scratch your head…as a junior and amateur Tiger was absolutely ruthless…his Ryder Cup record really tells a different tale minus singles where he usually won

    • APPLY NOW: L.A.B. Golf MEZZ.1 Putter (Early Access) Member Testing! 10 Testers Needed!
L.A.B. Golf is choosing ten GolfWRX members to receive their MEZZ.1 putter early and put their brand new product to the test before reporting back to the community about what they see. The selected testers will be one of the first to experience the MEZZ.1 from L.A.B. GOLF, their newest Lie Angle Balanced design, ahead of it's January 2022 launch!

About The L.A.B. Golf Mezz.1 Putter
MEZZ.1 is our new mid-mallet putter that’s fully CNC machined from a billet of 6061 aircraft aluminum (body) and 303 stainless steel (midsection) to create our best-feeling — and we think best looking — putter to date. It includes 10 weights (eight on the bottom, two on the sides) that allow us to individually build each putter to a golfer’s exact specifications.

      How To Apply
In a post below, answer the following questions.

      1. City, State?
      2. Handicap?
      3. What is your current putter?
      4. Have you ever used a L.A.B. Golf putter?
      5. Why do you want to review the MEAZZ.1 putter?
      6. Do you agree to participate in an ongoing testing thread, posting reviews and photos?

That's it! @labgolf and GolfWRX will choose the testers in about 2 weeks! This testing event is for good-standing members in the USA only!
