KBS Hi Rev 2.0 vs Modus Wedge 115

Differences on spin rate, performance, feel etc?

 

Would like to use either one of these on SW and LW.

Fitted into Hi-Rev/HiRev 2.0 back in 2016.  Low spin player.  Vokey user since spin milled.  Just purchased MG3 w/ Modus 115 wedge shafts as 2.0 backordered.  IMO, the 2.0 feel better, launch higher, and spin more than Modus.   Actually just check the back order status of the 2.0 on the TM custom shop.  MG3 w/ 2.0 would be the bees knees for this guy.

Bump. Would like to hear comparison of Hi Rev 2.0 vs Modus wedge 125.

I have a 61 degree raw Miura k grind (thanks Chip) with the modus 125, and a fourteen raw RM4 54 and 58 (60 two degrees strong) with the Hi Rev 2.0, so I cannot do a direct comparison. With this said I found much better spin on partial (and some full shots) with the Hi Rev (although I don’t have numbers (sorry))
 

Personally, I think the Modus 125 wedge is the one that’s better-suited for a PW (if you don’t set match) and GW. It feels pretty stable and smooth for full swings and prevents ballooning on those swings if that’s what you’re going for. The Hi-Rev to me feels more versatile. It is easy to put spin on for those low spinner partial shots, yet reacts the way you’d want it to when you’re trying to lob something over a bunker or a tree, around the green, flop one, or blast out of the sand.

 

I guess my point is that the modus feels like a great shaft when you’re swinging it for a 3/4 to full swing “normal” shot (and I’d probably prefer it for this), but the Hi-Rev kind of feels like an extension of your brain to the ball when you’re trying to will a chip to do something particular. All IMO of course, but I’d prefer it for a SW and LW (but wouldn’t use it for PW and AW).
