How long does Bryson keep the vibes going?

I was watching a reply last night. They were showing the post cup celebrations. All the players were celebrating, taking pictures with each other and loved ones etc. You could see Bryson all by himself just kinda walking around like he was lost, looking for something to do. It was very awkward looking and I honestly felt kinda bad for him. Anyone else notice this?

I did not see it but I know the feeling and I can certainly identify with Bryson in that sort of situation.  I guess that is part of why I like him.

I respect Bryson's drive and work ethic. He has goals and is working to achieve them.  Just because he wasn't celebrating with his playing partners doesn't mean he is a complete social introvert. You can see the difference between his social media videos with friends and his interaction with those who are often considered his opponents.

I'm cool with my colleagues, but I don't and wouldn't want to socialize with them after business hours.. my personal time is spent with those I consider friends and family.. it's a different interaction. I see the similarities with the mad scientist..

Another point could be that he is training hard rn, and is abstaining from alcohol... another reason to separate himself from the celebratory cheer.

Same here.  I am friendly with work people but we are not friends.  There are very few co-workers over the years that I would count as friends.

I am fine to go get a beer with them after work every once in a while but it will not become a regular occurrence nor do I want to spend my weekend time with work people.

I hear that.

I watched it and all I could think is “ that has to be the worst part of winning this.  The celebration “.   I’d be happy as a lark to get in the car and leave.  Not that I begrudge others celebrating, just that I don’t enjoy it. Being around  that many people and having no choice but to interact.  Is such an energy drain.  That weirdness is probably why I leave the crack in the door  myself for being a fan.

I agree completely-  Winning never gets old, but celebrating does.

I think he just marches to the beat of his own drum.  I'm not saying JT, Jordan, etc don't care about golf but I don't think they eat, sleep, and breathe it on the level that Bryson does.  To them it's something they are obviously world class at and they put in the time to hone their craft but they also enjoy having a social life outside of golf.   I bet you after awhile as the celebration went on to the wee hours of the morning that most of the team wasn't even talking about golf or the Ryder Cup at that point.   Honestly Bryson would have a better time nerding out with some of the members here who are very willing to talk golf, stats, specs, etc 24/7.

And to add to the potential for any awkwardness during the celebration, it's televised for the world to see and critique.  😬
