I've played about every finish over the last 25 yrs so I wanted something soft and different. Raw is probably my least favorite when I look at the rust accumulation but I get over it at address. I look at it differently, and say, These clubs look like sh$t,  but they are fit for me, and I'll be the best short game player out there today.

I was at PGATSS and they can’t release the C-Grind on these for some possible infringement reason. Anyone know what’s up? That’s the grind I was most excited about!

Don't tell me some jerky OEM has trademarked and/or patented the C grind... seriously?

I don't see how this is possible, since Mizuno offered previous wedge models with C grind.

Really like that denim color.  Not to dark or too shiny but perfectly in the middle.  Never tired Mizuno wedges before but these could end up in the bag.  The X grind seems intriguing.

Same here.  Actually got to see them in person yesterday.  They are look much more premium to me than the MG3 and SM8.  Curious to see what the SM9 look like but I have been told not much different than SM8.

I can confirm that there is a legal action from another OEM delaying the C Grind.  My buddy is a Mizuno rep in my area and told me this on Friday last week.

I heard the same from my local shop. Said they thought it had something to do with how c-grind was written on the club instead of the actual grind. They had one 58 raw wedge in stock. Looks great

Interesting, just saw that. I did a pre-order for customized wedges on Carlsland a couple weeks ago including 58 degree in C grind for Satin Chrome. Just went into the site and they are no longer offering C grind in 58. Either they sold out, supply issue, patent infringement allegations, etc. Hopefully shouldn’t add more delays but who knows anymore.

FYI; for those that did custom pre-orders; I talked to Mizuno service rep this morning. They said they are starting customization builds this week and expected to ship out 1st week of November. Crossing my fingers there are no supply issues on Mizunos end for Project X LZ shafts.

Had a C Grind and M Grind

Picked up a 50° denim today. Looks great and feels buttery soft even with a range ball. 
 

I looked through the rack of about 20 of them and no C grinds to be had. 
 

I like that Mizuno made a nice square head with cool finish options and didn’t cheap out on shaft or grip. $160 for all that is very reasonable.

Is the legal issue an america only thing? Ordered a 59 in c grind here in europe, and was told the order is already being worked on, but no further detail on the legal issue.

I was just at my local Golf Galaxy and they had a full rack on T-22’s.  Excellent looking at address, very compact.  The denim looks just as good in person as in the marketing pics.

 

I didn’t even think to look and see what grinds they had in stock.  I guess Callaway is the culprit behind the “c-grind” legal issues.  So how long till Titleist jumps on the bandwagon for the “d-grind” and “s-grind”.  So silly, it’s just a name, get over it.  
 

Come to think of it Callaway has an “x-grind” but no issue there?

So how does the top line look?  Some say it’s a little thicker than the Vokey SM8.
