Patriot golf... a fantastic deal, thanks GolfWRX (SARCASM)

I got an e-mail supposedly from Patriot Golf saying I have been selected to test out the new B2 driver. I'm willing to do it, if the e-mail is legitimate.

 

Did GolfWRX send it?

I got one also.  I deleted it.  Figured it was like Warrior golf and don't want the hassle factor that may come along with it.

I think it is the new Warrior Golf. Didn't think Golfwrx would sell our emails for that type of scam, but not much surprises me anymore. I'm sure we all "agreed" to it when we signed up here.

I got one too. I figure they paid GolfWRX Promotions to send the emails. GolfWRX Promotions sent one from Warrior once. Plus there have been others from companies that have less than a good reputation. All of those emails got quickly deleted. I love the forum but their advertising partners sometimes have been less than stellar.

I got one too. I get that everyone needs to make a buck or 2 but I’d expect more from GolfWRX. But maybe that’s on me. 

 

I did a search and there was another thread maybe a year ago but I don’t know if WRX was involved with that one altho I suspect it was.

Agreed. This just reeks of a Warrior Golf scam. No such thing as a free lunch. I'm kinda disappointed that the forum sold us out for something like this.

Got an email from the WRX promotions.  Free driver at Patriot golf.  Figured it was a re-branded Warrior golf scheme but honestly I'm procrastinating at work so I called.  "I'm so glad you called, I have a fantastic deal for you for a driver that will be better than everything on the market" as he goes on to explain that I get a free driver if I test out some fairway woods.  "Deposit $145 per club and get the money back once you send them back to us... We ask for a deposit incase something happens." 

 

My response, "So you will give me my money back once you receive the clubs if there is nothing wrong with them?  So what happens if they show signs of wear from play on those 45 days?"

 

"We would just asses the condition and deduct from your deposit"

 

I did not think GolfWRX associated themselves with these kind of companies... i'm actually disappointed the "promotion" email came directly from GolfWRX.

Couple different things. They offer you “free” equipment but they twist your arms off trying to get you to buy something in addition. And once they have your contact info they hound you incessantly. Sometimes “free” isn’t worth it.

Got the same email. Sad to see our info being shared/sold by WRX to these kinds of companies.

Yikes, so basically $300 to "test" a pair of fairway woods just so they can send you a "free" driver that likely costs them 1/4 of the money they will attempt to swipe from your deposit based on what I assume is an arbitrary, non-negotiable determination of wear on clubs that you are supposed to be hitting. Also their website email contact is a gmail address. 😆

Received the email today also.  Pretty disappointed GolfWRX would associate with this kind of outfit, but I guess they gotta make money somehow…..🙄

Really disappointed to receive the email.  There was a time when WRX was above this…….of course that was prior to the update……..

Our QA department missed this.  
 

We will be reevaluating  our vetting and release process. We would not condone predatory marketing tactics if employed by any advertiser.

good day.. I am not sure where to ask this question but I will ask in this thread. I received an Email from Golfwrx promotions. The email informs me that I was pre-selected for a Patriot B-2 Driver on the house. is this a legit email..  It asks me to call a phone number & to submit a Authorization number if i accept..

It's kind of a scam. They will send you the driver if you opt to try another club with it. Or at least that was the line they gave me. Patriot Golf is rebranded components. I think this is the same driver.

Edit...Nope.  Not even worth it.

 

The remedy is to Unsubscribe from WRX emails.

Click the unsubscribed button at bottom of email. Marking them as spam may have adverse results.  Like getting no notifications

Very lame and surprising that the website owners would even allow this. Thankfully I do not subscribe to any emails from WRX.
