Why is accident in parentheses in the thread title?  "accident"

Now, who's been smokin'? Parentheses are these (  ). Those "  " are quotation marks.

In all seriousness, that's totally staged. There would be significant damage to the front end if true.

It could easily roll up on one front wheel, probably the left, and then shifted further left after it climbed the rail and is now hung up on the frame. That's how there wouldn't be significant front end damage.

Also the structure looks like it might be steel.

I know from experience that the bumper would not have taken that impact. That's staged.

Accident Reconstruction is a legitimate science.

When I drove tow truck you could watch the troopers skidding to estimate the speed to recreate the crash scene, it was kind of funny. They got competitive about it.

I’ll start taking pictures of the garbage we get. Our mechanic currently has 3 carts in the shop, 1 was flipped over, 1 somehow had the whole underside of the front end ripped out and the last well somehow they managed to fold the rim in half. And this is just the last 2 weeks worth.

There’s a saying at my old course, “not sure why but golf carts have a magical power of sucking a person brain right out their @55 when they sit down.”

Last idiot I saw was a few years ago. Wound up with the cart (and him) rolling into a creek. He got screaming mad and was threatening to sue the course. The people that gathered around, and helped him and the cart get out (and were all taking cell pictures) pointed out that the empty beer cans floating on the water probably wouldn't help his case.

Scary thing? These people that cannot even manage to safely drive a golf cart will also be driving their cars home - on the same roads with us. Going 50, not 15. Yikes.

To me it looks like the tread pattern indicates where two people lifted the front end and dragged the cart to the railing. This is totally staged.

That's probably where the read wheels are spinning as the front pushes into the railing.

I had a buddy dump a cart into a bunker at full speed over the high side of the bunker, about 10 years ago. A good 5 foot drop. Not a mark on the cart. He dove out like superman mid drop. Cart ran over his back leg too.

The bumper did not need to take the impact. The wheel could ride right up the rail.

Video or it didn't happen. I've driven some pretty fast carts, but the angle of that rail doesn't jive.

That railing is way too steep to allow a golf cart to ride up like that unless the cart was moving at an incredible rate of speed. And if there was that much speed the front end would be severely damaged. And it's pristine.

Staged.

Conjecture at best. The wheel could easily ride up the rail. Larry's been on this site for more than a decade and is no BS'er.

I'm not saying he's a BS'er. I'm saying he's been BS'd.

But you can believe what you want to. Makes no difference to me.

I’m too young to be so prude... but I’ll say it, golf carts are friggin dangerous. I’ve narrowly avoided real danger a couple times. Don’t let their fun nature fool you.

It's not being prude, it's being respectful and mature. I cringe when I see people doing asinine things with golf carts; I learned very early into golf that carts are extremely dangerous and you can be seriously injured.

Mostly PING clubs, with TaylorMade woods.

In 1993 at Sandwich (Greg Norman won) I saw two suited R+A guys lose control of their buggy and it did a graceful pirouette then fell backwards into a large drainage ditch. Extremely amusing.

I will admit this is true, I happened to be there, they did jump out first.
