Best Putting Mat around $100?

Looking to snag a putting mat especially as we go into the fall/winter season to scratch that itch of golf when I'm snowed in and just to practice putting as I haven't been able to play as much. Trying to keep the price reasonable. What I'm looking at currently are a few options:

* Puttout Pro Mat (Medium)

* Birdieball 2'x10' Mat

* Wellputt First 10' Mat

Titleist 915D2 10.5º - Diamana Blue 60 S
Callaway X2Hot Pro 4W 17º - Aldila Tour Green

Titleist 915H 20° - Diamana Blue 70 S
Cobra AMP Forged (4-PW) - KBS Tour S+
Cleveland CBX Zipcore 50°/54°/58° - TTDG Spinner Tour
Seemore Nashville mFGP Blade

I have had this one for a couple years https://www.fairwaygolfusa.com/category/select/pid/30158/language/en?region=canada&gclid=CjwKCAjw49qKBhAoEiwAHQVTo5h1FTt2kdWnRhqE0LvqwXz7IawABpk5W3xPnTXOFN1ETak8_yEYlRoCZA8QAvD_BwE

I just picked up one of these.. I like it for the ruler drill..if u can't start the ball on line it's pretty tough to make putts

Question for the two of you guys, how well does that roll up and roll back out from storage? We have 3 cats and I wouldn't want to leave it out all the time so it would need to lay flat quickly after being rolled up.

I have rolled and un rolled the varispeed a ton of times as I have it set up in the loving room..i would assume the other will hold up just as well... I do really like the  line on the raflewski Matt..really shows my tendency to pull putts a little.. something I need to work on when the snow is on the ground

I love my 4x12 birdie ball putting green. I really suggest spending a little extra and getting a nice wide one to stand on. These roll up great and you’re able to vary the green speed by brushing the green with a broom.

I have the PuttOUT Pro matt and have just bought the WellPutt First.

The PuttOUT Pro annoys the pi$$ out of me.  After a few putts the matt develops a groove that each putt just follows.  Makes the matt completely useless in my opinion and I don't know why PuttOUT allowed this matt to go into production.  I don't enjoy using this matt at all because of it.

My so far limited use of the WellPutt First (had it a couple of days) shows that it doesn't seem to suffer with this issue which is good because I bought it because I read a post from someone who recommended it over the PuttOUT because of the 'groove" issue.   when I walk past the WellPutt I want to roll a few putts, didn't have that feeling with the PuttOUT!

Birdieball has blown away my expectations. It's literally like having a practice green in your house. Easily goes up and down,speed is absolutely dialed to my course. Agree with others, spend a little more and get one you can stand on. You can even get a little practice turf and work on chipping with a birdieball 4x12...reacts like a legit green with spin and release

PuttOut Medium and the Pressure Putt trainer.  I kind of liked the idea of the Pressure Putt thing where the ball gets stuck in the hole only if you make a perfect putt...but in reality, I leave the hole closed and just use it as a ball return device so the ball rolls back within range for me to reach out my putter, and scoot the ball back to me.

I believe I've experienced the "grooving" that was mentioned above, but for the most part, I can tell whether or not I hit a good putt that started online vs one that may have started slightly off line and "grooved" back to the center.  I just don't really care because I like the fact that even my bad putts will still go up the Pressure Putt ramp and come back towards me so I don't have to chase the ball.  I know in reality I'm not actually making 30 six footers in a row on my mat.

Birdieball is amazing and rolls up quite easily. You can get a custom size to fit your area as well. I have a hallway where a 2' x 16' fits perfectly. Definitely get the storage bag add on, totally worth it. Look up MGSpy review on it or their best putting mat list.

I got the Perfect Practice Putting Mat on sale for $125. BUT you can find copycat versions on amazon (without DJ as the spokesman) for around $75.

It's not perfect. It's not even great. But it's a good putting mat, I like it and recommend it. The ball return feature is that convenient. I have other putting mats from other brands. The ball return feature of the Perfect Practice mat helps my lazy a** putt more. Just stand there and bust out 200-300 8 foot puts. Easy. I like the lines on it too, but I wish the second hole didn't have lines so one could practice without any aids too.

I love putting at home and have owned many mats and researched even more. Of the ones you listed, don't get the puttout pro. The birdieball has a unique material, some people like it, some don't. The wellput is a good choice but again you may get used to putting with lines which a real putting green of course does not have. I recommend a plain green putting mat and putting down a strip of tape if you really want lines.

IMO, buy one that fits into your budget and space. I plan on building a putting complex once I move into my new house next year, but for now I am using an Amazon special ( it rolls above 10 )

Reasons will vary (as will green speeds), but my primary use for a putting mat is to keep my "feels" fresh.. I just want the weight of the ball and my putter to be burned into my muscle memory once the season starts up.. Outside of dealing with early season greens, I find it really helps to keep me sharp out on the track and especially so with my lag putting.

I got a PuttOut Slim a couple months ago and it's been perfect for my needs. We have hardwood floors that are largely covered by various fancy rugs. I find them annoying, but my interior decorating skills have been overruled. The Slim version fits in places where other mats do not, so that's nice.

I haven't noticed any groove issue, at least of yet. I usually use it with a Pelz Putting Tutor, though, so where the ball ends up after it rolls down the mat doesn't really matter all that much to me.
