TaylorMade Spider GT (new models)?

Anyone know anything else? Can't decide if I like or not, though the "notchback" definitely has my attention.

the casting process molds they’re using are really rough you can see the texture on the fangs

I thought a "notchback" putter has a notch cut out of the back flange, like the Toulon Columbus. Or, obviously, the Scotty Notchback. That seems like a weird name for the TM putter.

 

Though I agree that that model is nice. The others are ugly as hell.

Notchback looks good. Did Taylormade have something similar already? Not super familiar with Taylormade putters.

They are trying so hard to come up with the next Spider X hit and I really don’t understand why. The X is still as good as anything out. 
 

Did a single tour player ever put the EX into play? Or the new insert? This feels like when Odyssey kept trying new shapes and inserts and none of their staff ever used them. 
 

Those new $199 Spider tours and the X are at least still available though.

TM does seem to be losing the plot a bit here.  Maybe in hand they look better but not showing well in those photos.

I just bought a PXG 5 months ago so I am not one who cares about looks that much

I always like the TM inserts, these look a little different 

The SplitBack would be my choice out of these pics

I would like to see a modern take on the Spider Tour shape with the rockets in the back. Prob wouldn’t be hard to convince DJ to play it.

I made the mistake of going to the EX from the X just for a different neck, the one that was a little closer to face balanced. The worst mistake I could have made. The neck is fine, but this putter is a POS. I hate it so much that I have pulled a 25 year old Rossie 2 out and I'm rolling it better than I ever did with the EX. Well it won't be long until I find a replacement.

So, I’ve noticed the price of the spider GT has dropped significantly. I have been considering picking one up. There wasn’t a TM putter on the shelf when I went to the store today. Is this line discontinued? Granted I live in a cold weather climate half the year. So it could explain why their inventory could be sparse.
