Audiences pay at majors too…sure there maybe more corporate at majors but regular joes are still paying to get in.

i was trying to say that the majors are at least about history, getting your name on the claret jug or getting fitted for a green jacket. Beyond money.

Who won last years Waste Management? Exactly.

The only real issue here, from a Wrx perspective, is whether or not Brooksie will be playing a Srixon driver.

He will 💯 have a Srixon driver and ball. Neither will be something the general public can buy at the PGASS though. No coincidence Srixon made the signing and announcement before this event.

*and yes, I realize they aren’t the only ones that make tour only equipment.

There's a reasonable chance that TW makes a surprise appearance on this thing (remotely probably, not in-person). We know Phil is going to be on the broadcast, and Phil dueled TW twice in these "matches" (Phil won 1v1, then TW beat him 2v2). Imagine the hype for TW Zooming in and calling out Phil, TW vs Phil: The Rematch in 2022.

Just another reason to watch this thing. If you don't like to watch then you don't like golf.

Unless BK is really hot, BDC is gonna make him look bad and it won't be close.

BDC has a very safe floor in this kind of event. BK can't afford to make mistakes when he's being outdriven by 30-40 yards every hole.

I'd be interested to know how many par 3s and short par 4s there are vs long par 4s and par 5s. For the sake of betting. 12 holes is weird if they don't have equivalent numbers of par 5s and 3s.

If they're all short par 4s, his length isn't as much an advantage. BDC hitting a GW in while BK hits a 9i doesn't make as much difference as BDC hitting a 7i into a par 5 while BK is hitting 4i.

“Playing 12 holes is nice, I mean it’s better than playing 18 holes with Bryson. Anything to spend less time him I’m happy to do.”

🤣

“Though Koepka would have you believe it’s not much of a rivalry after all, especially when it comes to his lead over Bryson in major wins

I wouldn’t say it’s that big of a rivalry,” Koepka told Mickelson. “I mean when you’ve got 4-1 and the 1 was during Covid and I didn’t play? So, I don’t know how big of a rivalry that could be. When you win a major and I’m there then it might be more credible.”

Never know, but I think Big Cat is on the range right now getting ready for a little event in Georgia!

I have a small wager on BK. I think BK is playing to win this thing, being the instigator of all of this. BDC I’m not so sure, I wonder if he will go for the viewer pleasing long bombs which might be good for ratings but bad for course strategy.

BDC is only modestly longer than BK. It’s not much of an advantage, despite the hype here and elsewhere.

I feel like 20 yards w the driver is a big deal when it changes the next club decision by 2 notches.

Granted, BK isn't giving up 50 yards off the tee to him like a short pro, but when BDC goes Driver 9i, BK is going Driver 7i.

That makes more of a difference over 18 than 12, but I'll take it.

Right I wish they would bring back the Skins game but the BK/BD match it was interesting but for only 12 holes I'm not really sure why it wasn't 18. Neither one drove the ball well at all. Bryson had 2 amazing drives and Brooks better get his new Driver dialed in or I don't see him winning any Majors for 2022. I'm glad Brooks won but I'm surprised he did so good with his irons and putter after missing his last 2 cuts.

I would have loved to hear some smack talk but it was kept to a minimum as people say Brooks is boring, well too me I just thinks he is more focused out there playing and Bryson as scientific as wants people to think he is just reminds me of the Nutty Professor. I like them both but I feel Brooks has a better game. I wish they would have done this back when Tiger and Sergio were exchanging words years ago.
