Best view of this yet, thanks Greg!  Loving the absence of the Chevron.

Don't jinx it...chevron never bothered me that much, but this does look great from address.

You’re  safe. No chevron on the retail version.

I like the chevron but the clean look as well.

This may be what I’m looking for. Recently picked up a 7w at 21 degrees with an 80g x to replace my original Apex 3hy that I was starting to struggle with. I like that I can launch it off the deck on par 5s but it goes too high off the tee and gets blown around in the wind.

Thinking this may be nice middle ground. I want a higher flight off the deck than I got with Apex 3hy (20) but without the 7w moon balls. We‘ll see. Curios the playing length at 21.

Doesn’t this overlap on the recently released Super Hybrid?

It certainly feels that way.  I would speculate Callaway would like to capitalize on Phil's win at the PGA.

I have recently put my 2-wood back in the bag, as on several holes on my home course the driver is too long, or I need to hit a fade which I cannot do with the driver. Was looking for a club bridging the gap between the 2-wood and the 4-iron, this might be it. Still a few months to wait before I can test it, as the UW will be available in February 2022 in Europe…

I think it's a one or the other kinda thing.

Either the Super Hybrid is your cup of tea.

OR.

The Apex UW is your cup of tea.

Won't see many, if any, players who like and perform well with both sticks.

Agreed, timing for Apex seems like it should have been more in line with PGA show/ early 2022 releases.

I am intrigued by both of these clubs but would not carry both.

I just ordered a Epic Super Hybrid and would love to also try one of these out.  I am currently struggling with FW off the deck.  Off the tee no problem but hybrids are good on either.  That’s why I went with the Epic Super Hybrid but this is a nice blend between the 2 and maybe the unicorn I need.

I want to test these vs the Cleveland Hy-Wood

Do we know if this is .335 or .370? PGA SS lists hy shafts under their custom options, including ventus. It's probably just another big box error and this takes wood shafts...

i believe its .335 and meant to take wood shafts

Thinking and connecting dots makes me believe it is .370 head, but this is something I've wanted to gain clarity on as well.

Phil put the Ventus Red 9x in his Apex UW.

Fujikura came out, cleared the air, and said, it was specifically the Ventus Red 9x Wood Shaft. There is no Ventus Red Hybrid Shaft, nor is there anything on the horizon, or in the pipeline. The Shaft is tipped a significant amount to get the .335 to fit properly in the .370.

@Fujikura Golf @callawaygolf

.... Am I correct?

THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

All I know is this exactly what I have been looking for for awhile

Love the apex hybrid off the tee but it knocks so much spin off it’s not ideal for approaches. Don’t like the look of normal hybrids at address, the face angle just looks weird after spending a lot of time with apex hybrids. Same with normal 5 woods, I don’t like the look at address, the heads are too big, alignments feel too closed, and they all go too freaking long for what I want. I have legit been searching up old 5 woods on eBay and was considering an old vsteel or mp titanium because they are small workable heads that sit square/open and aren’t meant to be distance monsters. And then this thing comes out which is essentially a blast from the past design with modern forgiveness built in. Love it
