Titleist not offering 4-for-3 in 2022?

i like Titleist golf balls as much as the next guy but that's a terrible analogy lol... the 4 for 3 is like a tradition almost, Titleist calls it "Loyalty Rewarded" every year....it'd be too bad if they skipped out in 2022 as it'd be like saying "Sorry, Loyalty Not Rewarded for 2022"

If you truly feel this way, don't buy them. If enough people feel like this and don't buy them, then Titleist will lose money and realize that they made a mistake and return the sale.

I don't advocate for companies but almost all corporate decision making is driven by profitability- they're not trying to hurt your feelings. Honestly, they would probably view a lack of a price increase as their "Loyalty Rewarded" program this upcoming year.

I know titleist "loses" money by running this deal every year, the 90% or more who don't frequent golf forums buy retail or used and don't care too much for the game other than just playing golf. you and I are different...i've never bought the 4 for 3 deal in my life, nor used golf balls 1. because i'm a junky and see deals everywhere online for new titleist golf balls. 2. i used to work in the golf business and never needed to buy balls. but my time in the golf business showed me what people buy and that's the 4 for 3 deal, and regardless they'll continue to buy retail if there's no deal and titleist will not see a dent in their profits. the 4 for 3 deal doesn't miraculously bring over new buyers who pay retail like some people think. it really is a break for the guy who doesn't care about $$$ as ironic as that sounds

We're all different.

I've been a Titleist equipment guy for most of my golf life.  My current bag, golf balls, irons, wedges, putter and woods are Titleist, related.  Been buying the same tees from a certain company since 2005.  None of that was ever preplanned, nor did my choices come with added expectations.  For me, it's about performance, which creates loyalty.   I buy what works without expecting to be rewarded.

Now, as a CEO, loyalty gifts are offered when margins are big, but they are not guaranteed every year.  If Titleist chooses not to give loyalty rewards for one year, after having to cover all the lost costs tied to Covid shut-down, makes perfect sense to this businessman.  There has to be a reason other than a free box, to use Titleist balls.  IMO Loyalty is not time sensitive, but driven by performance.

That's typical, courses charge more because if you're buying there you are in need.

I agree completely. The only time I have ever paid for balls at a pro shop is when I get to the course look in my bag and go "oh crap". I use tour quality balls, sometimes Pro v or similar. If I am at the pro shop it's pinnacle rush 15 for $18.

I've tried several different balls than the ProV1X since this thread started, and they were good, but not as good as the Titleist. I really liked the 4 for 3, but I'm going to keep playing Titleist. I put a lot of time and money into golf, and I'm not going to go cheap on balls.

I thought when Titleist made changes to old ProV1x (my old ball) creating a new ProV1x that spins a lot more with higher trajectory, I was going to be changing from Titleist in the future.  Then I tripped over the 2nd redesigned/improved AVX,  It got my attention as it was like ProV1 around the greens.  Sometime later I discovered DASH -ProV1x.  That balls performance was perfect for this ole man's excessive spin...  Titleist AVX is perfect for colder days and DASH -ProV1x is used on warm days.  All I can hope for is DASH and AVX stay the same for a while.

are you saying the newest version of the Prov's don't perform??? haha just kidding, their are tons of golfers like you...they'll play something just because many moons ago it performed and the same company brings nostalgia. it doesn't matter to me one bit if any company stopped producing a sale they had every year, i remember when TM stopped going tot the PGA show a few years back and was such a controversy, now many people don't care one bit. this doesn't hurt Titleist in the long run. they're the #1 ball, they've got the marketing and tour presence, they're ok.

NO, that's not what I was saying.  I said the newest ProV1x spin doesn't perform with my mechanics; it spins too much, and I don't need spin help.  Clearly, there are NOT a ton of golfers like me, especially on Golfwrx.  Maybe your bias is showing. LOL  I recall when Titleist Tour involvement was being assessed because its costs were excessively high, yet it wasn't helping retail equipment sales.

I based my equipment choices including 'balls' on performance with my mechanics, and don't change equipment very often.  Rewards or price points have no value to me, and chasing the latest and greatest equipment hoping it buys a stroke or two is NOT how I improve.

You're right though, Titleist Golf balls are #1, by a large margin.

I have never, ever, paid money for a ProV1 or V1x in my life yet I have a 5 gallon bucket full of them in my garage.

I like that promo the best.

I went my entire time as a junior (5 years) without buying a single ball. I'd find at least 6 per round at 100 rounds per year. Sure, a lot of them were junk (water balls for the cabin) and scuffed, but had more than enough premium balls to get by. And honestly, I couldn't tell the difference between any of them (I ranged from a 2-8hcp in that time).

I estimate I found 12-15 dozen balls at my course this year. Most are low end ones I give to a friend to hit onto our range but I have found a lot of Prov1 and TP5 that I sell for $1 a ball, most of which are newer and in vgc. I have sold 5 dozen Prv1 ands 2 dozen TP5 so far this year and have a final lot of 15 Prov1, some of which are undoubtedly ones that I have previously found and sold.

The buy 3 get one free is a time honored tradition like Azalea bushes in the spring or pimento cheese sandwiches at Augusta. I believe that I speak for a large portion of the faithful in saying this is horse s**t.

Well due to Covid even Augusta changed its tournament to the fall so things change sometimes due to forces beyond the control of some……

The best I’ve seen is last years model of the TP5X and the B XS go on sale where they are 20-30% off. That’s up here in Canada tho

The 2020 Bridgestone Tour balls at 30% off is a great deal on a great ball.

I luckily have a decent stock of pro v. I asked my pro about who does 4 for 3 vs just buying the dozen for the round of golf. He said majority of sales are day of play. So I think the above sentiment is most golfers don’t take advantage of this deal. Hopefully it’s back but I’m not counting on it

This deal made it 4 dozen balls for $150.  Now it is 3 dozen for that price.  I bought 6 dozen Vice Pro last summer for $150 and can get 5 dozen Snell right now.  Sorry Titleist, I am not on tour and these DTC balls are pretty good.  When I am swinging well I can score with a Pinnacle.  Probably going to finish my 5 dozen stash of Vice, TPX and AVXs and then go all in on Snell.

I just did the 4 for 3 deal for personalized Pro V1x through the Titileist rep at my local golf course.  When I ordered, I didn't bother to ask the price.  When I picked them up, I found out they were $68 per dozen for a total of $204.  Divided by 4, that's $51 a dozen or about $3 less that you can get for personalized golf balls at the PGA SuperStore .

I just received an email from our pro regarding the Titliest Loyalty Promotion for 2022. According to him the only company offering a 4/3 deal this year is going to be Callaway.

Callaway is the only company offering a buy 3, get 1 free promotion in 2022! It has been confirmed that due to supply chain issues, Titleist, Bridgestone, and Taylor Made are unable to fulfill orders this season.

Big news right here. I hadn't heard that anyone was doing any promotion this year. Might be a callaway year after all.
